Debbie was the staff member for us and she was so kind and inviting! The fish and chips had the greatest batter and crisp, with two delicious sauces! So amazing, highly recommend and easily feeds two people if you want to split dishes for sharing. The seafood chowder was also so flavorful and full of a quality variety of foods. There’s a great pub atmosphere for adults, and kid friendly from the crowd eating there at the same time. Good music but not too loud you can enjoy your company. Highly recommend.

Gallagher’s was absolutely incredible! The fish and chips were hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Gluten-free and still perfectly crispy, golden on the outside, warm and flaky on the inside…every single bite tasted like heaven. I also stole a few bites of my husband’s Gaelic Boxty and wow…so rich, cozy, and full of flavor. The bread basket alone deserves its own standing ovation. Soda bread, stout bread, beer bread…all absolutely unforgettable. Even the green beans were fantastic. Debbie, our server, made the whole experience even better with such warm and friendly service. Honestly, if I didn’t live all the way in California, I’d probably be here every week. Looks like I officially have another reason to come back and visit Ireland.

My sister and I had a fantastic experience at Gallagher’s Boxty House. Our server, David, was so attentive and lovely. If you’re looking for a great Irish breakfast with reasonable prices and fab service- Gallagher’s is for you.

We came to try the Boxty. We had the chicken Boxty and fish and chips. The Boxty was very tasty and generously filled with lots of chicken breast. The fish and chips was cooked to perfection! Just the right amount of batter and the fish glistened. Unfortunately service was a little underwhelming - the waitress seemed to lose interest when we declined to order drinks. In addition she stood over my shoulder watching as I completed payment on the terminal - a not so subtle hint to pressure diners to tip. Would love for the service to match the food here.

A lovely time at Gallagher's Boxty House in Dublin. The homemade fish and chips was a delight, fresh and perfectly crispy. Special mention goes to the mushy peas, which were very good, far from bland. The service was efficient and quick. But the real revelation for me was the dessert: an incredibly creamy cheesecake. It literally melted in your mouth, with a chocolate and red berry topping that added just the right amount of richness and zest. A pleasant place that I recommend.

Tasty but average irish food. Tourist area. Outrageously expensive for the portion size. Had a gaelic boxty and a blue cheese boxty. They pack you in, so you can basically eat from your neighbours plate! Server was extremely attentive but very busy.

2nd time visiting Boxty House and it is fantastic. The food is outstanding but it's the friendly service we received. David was really cool and just lovely to chat with. Lots of places in Temple Bar but this place is great! You should go.

Our first dinner in Ireland! It was delicious! Staff was friendly, kind, helpful and it was just a great experience!
