Gallagher's Boxty House, menu in Dublin

Must eat in Dublin! Fantastic service, delicious food, and I also loved their own made stout. Had to go twice in my trip to have the two different sampler boards. Both were good for me as a solo diner but had no room for dessert. The fries, omg the fries are literally the best!

My two boys and I had dinner at Gallagher’s Boxty. Mike took care of us and it was a great memory. The fresh home cooked style was beautifully plated and very tasty. We tried three different meals and shared so everyone could try everyone else. Best meal yet!

On a four day trip to Dublin we visited here three times and I'd do it again. I candidate myself a pretty decent cook and I've come away with ideas and jealousy. I'll never be proud of my shepherd's pie until it's like theirs. The staff are lovely, friendly, service is FAST, they make their own beer (fab IPA). Should I visit Dublin again, Boxtys Will be one of the reasons. Well done to all of the staff! Walked in twice without a wait. Friday evening was busy though so had a short wait and sat at the bar. I recommend booking on busy evenings.

Warm and friendly the food was excellent. Highly recommended that you go for breakfast and lunch.

10 April 2026 - Debbie was LOVELY and gave wonderful recommendations. The seafood chowder, lamb stew, and the sausage and dumpling soup were phenomenal! (The sausage and dumpling was my favorite.) The sampler platter (An Gach Rud) was perfect for a trio of snacky people looking for a quick and varies bite. Cheers!
