Had a few pints of Guinness here and their carvery. Guinness was really nice and the carvery, I got beef, was average. Staff were nice and the atmosphere is what you'd expect for a train station.

Amazing service, Was there on Monday and the girl with pink hair made my day. She was so sweet and went above and beyond to source me an item they wouldn’t typically serve (iced coffee), I was having a terrible day and was traveling 5 hours home, and her kindness really made my day.

We arrived early for our train. To pass the time we had lunch here. It was carvery and the server couldn’t have been nicer. Happy to oblige and customise what we wanted to eat. Corner seat to watch the world go by! Staff checked on us a couple of times and were very polite and helpful. Worth a try if waiting for your train!!

Old Orchard

03/11/2024: First of all before starting I want to add that the staff are amazing and always are. We’ve been coming to The Old Orchard regularly for awhile now and have always loved the food, particularly the wings which were delicious. The introduction of the new menu though has left us a bit disappointed. While the dishes sound good, what we’ve gotten sadly hasn’t been great. The wings have been totally changed and we don’t find them enjoyable anymore. The sauce lacks flavour or spice and they’re more of a dry wing. The quality of the food overall has gone downhill it seems but with an increased price tag. I got a chicken burger recently and it was a chicken thigh which was no problem but it was extremely fatty which made the burger overall not great to eat. Hate to say this because we do love it here but would be less inclined to go for food now than before which is unfortunate. Again, the staff are great and the presentation of the food I have to say is wonderful but just the menu and food itself have left us a bit disappointed and missing the old menu and food.

09/09/2024: Good location. Extensive breakfast menu. Pleasant surroundings. We had a range of dishes. From porridge, which comes with all sorts of extras, full breakfast, smashed avocados on toast etc!! We all loved our food. Service great and good value for money.
30/08/2024: The food was very mediocre in everything we had. The prawn appetizer were little shrimp and definitely not prawns. The service was good until you needed something. It was a poor choice for dinner with so many options close by.
