Garavan's in Galway

A nice ambiance inside, including outdoor seating. Points deducted due to poorly washed glassware – many lipstick residues were still clearly visible.

When they say they have the best Irish Coffee they aren't lying. I was hooked from the first sip. It's a cozy place to hang out for drinks as well.

They said this was the best Irish Coffee. I honestly wouldn’t know. But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I expected it to be too strong or bitter, but it was smooth and well-balanced. The bartender was super friendly, and I had a lovely little chat with two European grandpas at the bar. They asked what brought me to Ireland and teased me when they found out I was here for a conference, but was now drinking, haha (to be fair, the conference ended the day before my trip to Galway!). I wish I could’ve savored it more, but had to down it fast to catch my bus. Still, I’m glad I got to try this little gem.

We had a super night in Garavans on Friday 13th June. A good crowd, good music that wasn't too loud and super friendly service. Highly recommend.

Friendly quick service. We came in for a pint before leaving Galway on our day trip tour. Many people were having whiskey flights and the bartenders seemed quick knowledgeable on the notes and distilleries related to the tasters. I'd recommend this place.

A fine pub. A bit too touristy for my likes but a fantastic Irish coffee. Definitely stop in to try one on a cold day.
