A typical Irish pub on the busiest street in the city. It's always busy, but it's easy to get a table, and they make one of the best Irish coffees I've ever had. Despite all the crowds, the restrooms are clean, and even though the staff is overwhelmed, they're very friendly. It also has a street-facing terrace, a bar area, and small tables in the lounges. 100% recommended.

Best Irish coffee of my life. I spent the rest of my Ireland trip trying to find one just like it, but there is no comparison.

Popped in Garavan’s Bar for a quick Irish coffee this afternoon. Cozy, warm, the kind of bar that makes you forget what time it is. Coffee was a punch, whiskey burned right ....bartender could’ve cracked a smile, but hey, it’s part of the charm. Four stars well earned. 😎

(Apparently a) New bartender - had 14 people backed up. Service was SLOWWWW.... Only 1 on a crowded Sunday night. Experienced bartender took over and got things moving along. It was PAINFUL to order a drink. Maybe it's much better most times. The "regulars" were very frustrated.
