Great hotdogs little pricey but to be expected for Dublin they have a great vegetarian range and gluten free

Don't sleep on the vegan New Yorker dog. Great quality food and the meal deal is a great value.

I visited Gaucho’s Dog on Queen Street in Smithfield and overall had a very decent experience. The place was clean and inviting, and the bathroom facilities were acceptable — no major complaints there. I ordered the hot dog and the bacon cheese fries. The fries were genuinely delicious — crispy, well-loaded, and hitting just the right comfort-food notes. Definitely a highlight of the meal. The hot dog itself was a bit less exciting. It was a skinless, high-emulsion style frank, so it lacked the “snap” you get from a natural-casing sausage. While it was better than a standard supermarket frank like an Oscar Meyer, it didn’t reach the benchmark of a top-tier dog such as from Nathan’s or a premium sausage like Snake River Farms. The presentation was solid, though, and the bun and condiments worked well. In summary: Good visit, good food, and a polished casual ambience. I’d absolutely return for the fries and might try a different sausage option next time, hoping for more texture in the hot dog. Four stars.
