Amazing First Hostel Experience – Highly Recommend! I had never stayed in a hostel before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but my stay at Generator Dublin completely exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was comforting.The dorms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. They even provide hair dryers, which is such a thoughtful touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay—special shoutout to Alex, who was always kind and helpful. The vibe downstairs was super fun and lively. Even if you don’t have plans for the evening, there’s plenty to do right at the hostel—games, live music, and a party-like atmosphere that makes it easy to meet people and just enjoy the night. I was also lucky to have great dorm mates, which made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all, staying at Generator Dublin as my first hostel experience was truly memorable and amazing. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and social place to stay in Dublin.

The hostel is ideal for a city trip. The staff is very friendly and there's a good bar. The city center is within easy walking distance, and there's also a tram station nearby. The bathroom was a bit run-down and not clean. The floor in the room itself, for example, wasn't clean either. Otherwise, it was okay.

Only ended up staying for about a day of the reservation. Room was clean and had a sense of security with the card activated elevator and stairs. There is a lot of maintenance needed though for the vending machines. Half of the items didn't dispense, and the selection was iffy at best. Some of them were out of order all together. Even with card, it was difficult to get it to process. I never did figure out if there was a bathroom on my floor. I at least couldn't find it, so just went to the lowest floor. I thought the bar area was farther away, but could hear the music perfectly until 12:30, which made it difficult to sleep. Genre was not my type, but I'm picky. Close to club music if that helps. Everything there is nickel and dime, so keep that in mind. Whether it's games, the bar, the tables, or the store. Nothing is really cheap, just convienient. Had a difficult time finding the breakfast area. Staff besides reception were pretty apathetic, but the general environment vibe was great. The staff I did see were almost always cleaning in the general areas, so that was good. Wifi speed was dicey at best, I just switched to cellular.

One of the best hostel i visited in Europe. Just behind the Jameson distillery and at least 400 meters (or so) from Guinness brewery (not to say that Is really close to Temple Bar and has everything you Need for a good Dublin visita. Oh and It's practically in the center of the city!

Well situated to Temple Bar. Room in single use was simple and clean. But very loud almost all night long. Staff was OK, but staff at the bar and pool was very unfriendly and uninterested. High prices

I stayed there for four days, we were in 6 and we occupied an entire room… the service was nice and also the lounge area had a lot of games. The only bad thing was that the bed sheets cover was dirty and the towels had a bit of a stain but it was still okay.
