Great location, quiet area, fairly modern rooms. Cons: The flush was broken on the first day and was never looked at, and only half of the outlets worked.

Great hostel, nice facilities and great location. Only reason I’m not leaving a 5 star is the for the treatment by bar manager. The Argentinian bar manager shut down the Kareoke because I said to him he can’t run the bar and kareoke at the same time (the were understaffed). When the bartender came back he refused to run the kareoke as planned because he got butthurt by my feedback. Sorry his pride was hurt but he’s not a child he’s working there. Also his colleagues complained about him too so watch out for him!

Not super near all the center stuff but still walki n distance. The bar room area is great they have plenty of space to hangout and have drinks with peer pong and foosball and more, the rooms are quite small but clean although in summer they get very hot

🍀In my experience, this is one of the best hostels I've stayed at and possibly the best in the chain. The building is spacious, with large rooms and well-equipped common areas: a games room with pool, ping-pong, foosball, board games, and shared tables. The bar offers an excellent breakfast, both in quality and quantity, as well as hot dishes and classic Dublin craft beers. The staff is friendly, and the place is clean and tidy. It has temporary paid lockers and a well-equipped reception area with amenities for travelers. Its location is accessible and close to key points in the city. 100% recommended, I would definitely return.

Women's shared dorm room was clean, however the ensuite bathroom shared between 15 women was a problem. 1 of 2 sinks did not drain, 1 of 2 toilets was broken, and 1 of 2 showers flooded with water. Although brought up to staff, was not fixed over my four day stint. But still... its fine for such a low price 😅

Stayed one night before an early flight the next morning. Cannot reccomend you stay here for this purpose. Doors either don't have closers, or the closers aren't adjusted properly, which causes them to slam shut if you don't close them gently yourself. This is a very lively spot with people coming and going at all hours, so we slept very little as a result. Bring earplugs. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The room was quite warm and the underpowered bathroom fan did a poor job of removing the humidity after having a shower which made things worse. Our windows faced a courtyard that was quite noisy, and only one of them opened. All in all perfectly serviceable. Wouldn't have any complaints if we'd gotten hammered and crashed late, but if you just need a good sleep before an early flight, this isn't the spot.

Amazing First Hostel Experience – Highly Recommend! I had never stayed in a hostel before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but my stay at Generator Dublin completely exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was comforting.The dorms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. They even provide hair dryers, which is such a thoughtful touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay—special shoutout to Alex, who was always kind and helpful. The vibe downstairs was super fun and lively. Even if you don’t have plans for the evening, there’s plenty to do right at the hostel—games, live music, and a party-like atmosphere that makes it easy to meet people and just enjoy the night. I was also lucky to have great dorm mates, which made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all, staying at Generator Dublin as my first hostel experience was truly memorable and amazing. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and social place to stay in Dublin.
