We loved our anniversary stay at Glen lo abbey!
The estate is beautiful, its very secluded with lots of greenery surrounding. Our room was equally stunning the decor is classic and the marble bathroom was lovely.
We also had a view of the Pullman train restaurant from our room which is where we had our 4 course meal.We both got steak and asked for medium rare but it was cooked very rare.My partner did have stomach issues after eating our meal.
The cocktails though were lovely and the overall vibe of the restaurant is really unique,we loved it! Its a once in a lifetime dinner.
The breakfast room was beautiful! The only downside was my fry that I ordered, there was some soggy toast underneath the scrambled eggs which made me believe it was someones leftovers which wasn’t nice to find as it was a small piece of bread not a full or cut slice.
Overall its a lovely hotel! More attention to detail and it would be a 5 star.

We have literally just returned from Glenlo Abbey after an amazing 3 night stay. Check in was very fast and Storm showed us to our beautiful King Room which overlooked the gardens at the back of the building. Each day we could watch the falconry sessions from our window. The staff were so friendly especially Michael
[ doorman] who was very informative as well as a pleasure to talk with. Géred [ assistant manager] and Jack [ manager] in Palmers Bar were very efficient and never stopped serving customers and clearing plates. Katerina [ Glo Spa] who gave me the best massage ever. Excellent at her profession. Food was first class, fabulous breakfasts and our meal in Pullmans Restaurant was a lovely experience. We had no issues with queuing for breakfast or waiting to be served at the bar. Staff were extremely attentive. We have stayed in Ashford Castle before and this hotel is way up there with the 5 stars. A hugh thank you to all the staff and in particular to those named. They all made it a memorable weekend for my husband and I. We will definitely return next year.

One of my favorite hotels I have stayed at. All the staff was so kind, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms were charming but also super comfortable. I loved the bath which was the perfect way to relax after a long day. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. I loved staying slightly outside Galway on lovely grounds but it only bwing a short drive to the city. We also did thr Falconry experience which I would highly recommend. I loved everything we ate at Pullman. It was such a treat to stay at Glenlo, and I would definitely recommend it to anyway staying in Galway.

Probably the nicest hotel with the best service I've ever experienced. If you are considering this for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon, you will not be disappointed.
Bartender top notch, breakfast was impeccable and delicious. Grounds perfect. The front desk attendants made every effort to ensure a pleasant time.
When I return to Galway, this'll be the place for me.

Nice, but not worth the extra money and certainly not delivering on the promise of being 5 Star.

Dinner in the Pullman was fabulous! Staff were great. Only downfall was breakfast! Lady who sat us was rude, clearly very frazzled. Walking into the kitchen and shouting.. not sure if she realised we could all hear her! Nobody came over to see how everything was.
The lady just had a very abrupt attitude and just wanted you to leave straight away after you have eaten. It’s a shame

Very pleasant and outgoing staff.
Lovely grounds with a 9-hole golf course you can walk around.
Interesting Pullman Restaurant, a converted train car.
Country English decor in public rooms and restaurants, high quality furnishings and restaurant table settings.
Some issues with my original room.

I am pleased to have visited Glenlo Abbey. The experience was splendid, characterized by amiable and accommodating staff during our delightful afternoon tea. The culinary journey commenced with delectable food and culminated with the attentive service of a young gentleman, likely named Timmy. I extend my gratitude for the exceptional experience, and I am certain to return for an extended weekend stay.
