We went to Glover’s Alley for a special dinner while vacationing in Ireland. We had a 630pm reservation and on arrival the restaurant was still quite empty. The entire staff was professional and friendly throughout our dining experience.
We opted for the tasting menu which they modified for the pescatarian in our party.
We were started off with an amuse bouche a beet meringue and a cheese mousse. Both melted in the mouth and were full of flavors.
First course scallop ceviche with an apple-cucumber relish. This was followed by bread. Second course beet tartare, then the wild turbot and Irish Hereford Beef Short Rib. Fifth course Wicklow Ban, then the violet fig and to round everything off Valrhona Jivara. We opted not to do the wine pairing and instead got a bottle of wine at the lower end of the offerings.
Wait staff was attentive in topping off water and wine. The beet tartare course included gelatin which was modified for the pescatarian.
Some music was playing, but it was not interfering with the ability to have a conversation.
Plan on spending €400 for a dinner for 2.

This experience deserves nothing less than 10/5 stars. The food is EQUISITE (vegetarian menu is exceptional!), and the staff are extraordinary. From service to wine recommendations. Absolutely everything about this dining experience was authentic and incredible. If you do just 1 thing in Dublin, let it be a meal at Glovers Alley.

Overall a solid food experience with each dish having great flavours and impeccable presentation. You can see the work that has gone into each dish. The service was good, but for this level of restaurant, everyone seemed to be in a rush around the room. There was a lot of waiting with dirty plates in front of us, no offer of more bread, we wanted a red with our beef, but by the time someone asked, we had almost finished it.
We had as good experiences at other restaurants, at a fraction of the price.

Thank you to the staff for a wonderful evening! I had to convince my husband to go to this restaurant because he didn’t like the look online of the interior. But in fact it was warm, cozy and full of mirrors. The colors of green, gold and pink really worked.
The food! We did the tasting menu and the staff really took care us and my gluten intolerance. We matched a few wines which were fresh and unique (brilliantly chosen). My husband had dirty martinis which were perfect! We loved each and every course. Really felt the flow of the meal. Normally you like one more than another but we loved them all! At the end of the meal the staff shared a taste of the truffle honey, which was AMAZING! 100% would recommend

I recently dined at Glovers Alley in Dublin and was thoroughly impressed with the food. Each dish was beautifully crafted, full of flavor, and clearly demonstrated the kitchen’s culinary expertise. The highlight for me was the creativity and presentation – it’s clear a lot of thought went into the menu.
However, while the food was impeccable, the service left a bit to be desired. The staff were friendly and polite, but the overall experience wasn’t as polished as I’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. My biggest disappointment was that they intentionally skipped the Wicklow Ban cheese course, which I was really looking forward to. It felt like a deliberate oversight, and this somewhat tarnished the experience.
Overall, I’d rate it 4/5 – the food alone is worth the visit, but I hope they improve the service to match the high quality of the cuisine.

This was the third business dinner at Glovers Alley. Ideal space for meetings as it provides quiet spaces. As always, food was excellent and exceptional service
