Goat In The Boat in Skerries

A lovely spot on the Skerries coast. Toast and soup of the day for a lunchtime snack. Good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stopped by Goat in the Boat twice during my stay in Skerries for a cappuccino and some carrot cake. The carrot cake was so delicious the first time that when I came back, I ended up ordering exactly the same thing again! It’s a lovely, relaxing little spot in a beautiful location right on Skerries Harbour. Sitting outside with a coffee and watching the world go by was such a nice way to spend some time. The staff were really friendly and welcoming on both visits, the coffee was great, and that carrot cake is definitely worth coming back for! A lovely place and one I’d happily visit again. 😊

I’ve been to this place many times and it’s brilliant! The coffee is top class, and the chicken focaccia is absolutely divine my favourite! Highly recommend. ☕🥪

Nice coffee in great area of Skerries

Great choices of gelato available. Made in house as per the teller. They had interesting gelato flavours that I have not yet tried before like the carrot cake inspired gelato and the birthday cake flavour. One scoop is €3.50 and is lovely to be enjoyed by the sea side only a stone’s throw away.

A place with spectacular views of the port and guaranteed sunshine on the terrace. It's both a café and a shop, which gives it a special charm. The staff was very friendly and attentive at all times. The pastries are amazing, the artisanal bread is well worth trying, the ice cream is incredible, and the salmon bagel is a must-try. Without a doubt, a place to return to and enjoy both the atmosphere and the food.

Amazing ice creams and milkshakes and a nice seating arena where you can enjoy the sun!

Overall the pastries and cakes were extremely nice - albeit, a little pricey. They get a solid 4 out 5 - nothing special for how expensive they are but definitely worth a nice treat. The server brought the wrong pastry which is very poor service, so with that in mind I’ll give Goat In The Boat a modest 3/5
