Grano in Dublin

Had a really first class dinner at Grano. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere with plenty of charm comfortable, relaxed and the kind of place where you can happily settle in for the evening. It was so good we booked our next visit while paying the bill. We started with the octopus and the meatball starter. Both were excellent, but the meatballs stole the show . They were rich and comforting, with a great balance of sauce and seasoning. You could eat them all night! Or order a double portion for a great mains!! For mains, we chose the Spaghettoni alla Triglia e Finocchietto Selvatico (red mullet pasta) and the Fileja al Ragù Calabrese. The red mullet dish was beautiful with the fish and wild fennel working really well together. The Calabrese pasta was hearty and deeply flavourful, with a rich ragù that felt so authentic and satisfying without being heavy which left lots of room for dessert. And it was to sit and watch the pasta being made fresh in the restaurant The staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely knowledgeable about the food. the wine list is excellent, with plenty of choice. A second visit to Grano! Again didn’t disappoint. Booked a third visit as we finished up our evening! Can’t say I haven’t fallen in love with this place!!!!

Lovely small Italian restaurant, everything feels very "home-mady" you can even see the staff making the pasta on the side before they cook it for you. The food is amazing, super tasty, the tiramisu probably the best I've had, ever. Will definitely go back!

I loved it! The food was really good, and the wine was great as well. The service was a bit cold, but no complaints overall. The millefoglie di cannolo siciliano was absolutely delicious!

Grano was a wonderful finale to our 1st day in Ireland. It was close to our hotel and the bars. They had one table open for us without reservations and we were so greatful! The Balanzoni was so buttery and rich. It was perfect to stave off the alcohol. We also had the special which was an oxtail sauce pasta. Very rich and flavorful. Finished with a cappuccino and a short walk back to our hotel. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

Great food with quality ingredients

What a fantastic experience. The food was not what we expected... it was much, much better. The pasta was an elevated delicacy. Every dish had such interesting flavour combinations, and even when some ingredients initially seemed like an unusual pairing, they somehow worked beautifully together. Nothing overpowered anything else; the flavours complemented and elevated one another. We were seated beside the team making the pasta, and after a chaotic, rainy evening, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better table. It was wonderful to see the care and craftsmanship that goes into the food. The team was brilliant! Friendly, attentive, receptive and genuinely welcoming. The person who served us (I believe her name was Maev, although apologies if I have that wrong) was fantastic. Her recommendations for both the food and the wine pairings were spot on and really added to the experience. Everything was excellent, but the burrata deserves a special mention. It was incredibly creamy and delicious, quite possibly the best burrata I have ever eaten. The only downside? We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to book again for December to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately OpenTable isn't accepting bookings that far ahead yet! Already looking forward to visiting again. A truly memorable evening
