Grano in Dublin

Authentic Italian experience, lovely staff, amazing food!

My husband and I went to Grano in April. Having booked in early January we were really looking forward to the experience based on the reviews. We were NOT disappointed! It was everything we were hoping for and more. The food was amazing! The different plates (nibbles, starters, mains) were so typically Italian, we felt we were back in Italy. I had olives & deep fried meatballs as starter and delicious Ravioli parcels for mains. My husband's starter was Scaldanduja (a spicy sausage which he thoroughly enjoyed and his main course was a pasta dish, with sausage, and a tomato based sauce. The atmosphere in Grano is exciting - a great ‘Buzz’ to the place, Our server Luna was really friendly (as were all the staff). Luna was very patient helping us choose a wine which would pair well with the food we had ordered (not an easy task as they have a truly extensive, wine list with wines from all parts of Italy). The bottle she recommended was delicious and perfect with our food. Dessert was ‘yummy’. I chose a Choc Coffee Mousse with Amaretto while my husband had an Almond sponge with white chocolate ganache and a Bergamot sauce. I’m not sure of the correct title of either of these desserts but they were both delicious. A very definite 5 stars! We can’t wait to go again and look forward to making another reservation SOON!

Best restaurant in Dublin! Samuele our waiter was amazing, and the food is exceptional. Would definitely recommend as a must in the city.

Expect the best pasta dishes that Dublin currently has to offer. We are talking hand crafted pasta manufacturing paired with some of the finest ingredients. Make sure to also try the starters such as Vitello tonnato or the anchovies. The dolci menu also has some Italian classics to offer such as tiramisu. Wine list is extensive and there is also a good choice of wine by the glass. The staff team is super friendly and welcoming so that you will have a beautiful night out at a fair price point given the outstanding quality and hospitality. Will be back for sure.

If you eat in one restaurant in Dublin eat here. I work and eat in Italy & all over Europe but Lucky enough to live locally to Grano. Simply wonderful. Amazing food, amazing staff, relaxed atmosphere. Book early ! 🥰

Loved it. Awesome pasta, excellent wine menu and a beautiful ambiance with efficient and friendly service. Grano is a great treat that offers an really special experience at an affordable price. I recomeit to everyone and am already planning my next trip :)

Hemos estado tratando de conseguir una reserva aquí durante siglos y cuando de alguna manera obtuvimos una reserva de última hora nos saltó la oportunidad. Sin embargo, nuestra experiencia fue mixta. El personal era muy amable y acogedor. El ambiente era agradable. Ver la pasta que se prepara frente a nosotros se sumó al ambiente. La comida tal vez se quedó un poco por debajo de lo esperado. Las bolas de cacio y pepe arancini eran buenas, pero las bolas de arroz en sí eran un poco sosas. Los tonnarelli de setas de alguna manera carecían de ese ponche de setas que uno esperaría de un plato de setas. Sin embargo, el gran problema (como se destacó en otra revisión) eran las moscas de la fruta que estaban en todas partes, incluyendo en la pasta recién cortada en el mostrador - viendo que esto estaba apagado - poner mientras esperaba nuestra comida. Creo que los propietarios necesitan resolver esto - es insalubre y ópticamente desagradable. Hubiéramos dado 4 estrellas si no fuera por el tema de la mosca de la fruta. Probablemente volveremos en algún momento ya que esta experiencia no cumplió con el bombo y nos gustaría probar otros platos.

Esperé meses por una mesa y no escuché más que críticas favorables. El personal era maravilloso, super atento y me encanta el hecho de que se les puede ver haciendo la pasta hecha a mano. Restaurante muy pequeño e íntimo que creo que se suma al buen ambiente. Estaba muy decepcionado con la comida. Parecía fresco, pero sin mucho sabor y un poco caro.
