I enjoy the food but not the beverages. I ordered a cappuccino which was very weak and tasteless. Was advised they use medium roast. Tea also bland. Not to my taste but the cakes and scones are good.

We highly recommend this family-run café. A pleasant atmosphere, delicious cakes, and a beautiful view of the river.

Small kafe. Accidentally ran in from the rain. Apparently in terrible weather any shelter will seem excellent. Coffee and pastries warmed us up. Protection, and in the right, and beautiful place.

We stopped in Sligo on our way to Donegal. We only stayed for half an hour to get a drink and stretch our legs. The Italian down the road wouldn't serve us coffees as it was lunchtime so we found Grappa. It was cute with some seating by the river. My daughter had a homemade cookie and we had coffees. Nice clean toilets which is always a plus.

Sligo Southern Hotel

30/11/2025: Great that they offer some dog-friendly rooms! I really appreciated that we could stay with our dog. However, the pool and spa area felt a bit disappointing. It didn’t feel particularly luxurious. Vegan food options were the biggest issue. The hotel said they could provide vegan meals, but unfortunately the breakfast wasn’t a genuine vegan option. We were charged full price for a breakfast that was essentially: • Plain bread (no vegan butter provided) • Baked beans • Cooked tomatoes It felt more like items removed from the standard cooked breakfast rather than a thoughtfully prepared vegan alternative. Because of that, it didn’t feel fair to be charged the same price as a full breakfast. Overall: Lovely that they welcome dogs, but the spa and vegan food options need improvement. If the hotel says they can cater vegan meals, a proper, considered vegan breakfast would make a big difference.
08/11/2025: It was a very nice and spacious hotel, big lobby and quick bar service. The pool was quite big and warm and the rooms were clean with cosy beds. Cathal,Aged 10

O'Hehirs Bakery

25/06/2025: Tasty food and coffee. They only had granary bread but that was fine.
20/05/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Masterclass in Customer Service! My wife, Heide and I visited O Hehirs at the Tesco Arcade today during the busy midday period it is always a positive indication when a place is bustling). As a wheelchair user, dining out can sometimes be challenging However, this establishment proved to be exceptionally accommodating and a delightful experience. No sooner had we ordered at the counter. Two staff members appeared like hospitality ninjas, ensuring our table was suitably spacious and clean. Before we could even settle ourselves. A waitress with a genuine smile (not one of those painted-on retail grins) appeared with our order. Utterly brilliant. The coffee was exceptional, and the food was remarkably fresh and delicious. The overall experience was truly impressive. After our meal, Manager Michelle introduced herself and engaged us in a conversation about our visit. I expressed that a rating of five stars seemed insufficient for such excellent service they deserve at least seven. We left feeling highly valued and are already planning our return. If other establishments followed O'Hehirs exemplary standards, dining out would be a much more enjoyable experience. Additionally, the spotlessly clean and accessible restrooms were a significant advantage.♿ Thank you for the outstanding service. You have set an incredibly high standard🙏
