Green Straw in Swords

Visited for breakfast on the 16th. We ordered chicken benny, Turkish eggs, cheesecake, and 2 lattes. Later, I noticed the receipt charged €5 extra for 3 Blue Pea Lemonades, which we didn’t order. Also, our lattes were initially swapped with matcha, though the staff fixed it quickly. The café was very busy, so extra staff during peak hours might help. Overall, food was tasty; slightly larger portions or extra slice of bread would match the price better. But I hope this kind of mistake doesn’t happen to other customers.

We visited Green Straw for breakfast in Dublin and tried the holiday specials menu, including the Bang Bang Chicken, Christmas sandwich, and caramel pancakes, everything was delicious. The flavors were amazing, the vibe was cozy, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The chef even visited our table to check if everything was fine and explained the dishes, which made the experience feel extra special. One of the best breakfast spots we’ve been to, highly recommended and a must-visit whenever I’m in Ireland.

Fabulous healthy homemade food with wonderful seasonal drinks. Great selection of salads, sandwiches, juices and protein shakes & balls with a balanced choice of sweet stuff for dessert. 😊 The staff are charming, chatty and warm. Nice Christmassy music playing in the background too

My partner wanted to get a breakfast before going to visit the christmas market at the castle. Breakfast was enjoyable and the service was 10/10. You either get in while its quiet or fight for a table to get something nice to eat xx

Really good food, clean and nice ambiance and courteous

We've eaten many versions of poached egg 🥚, smashed avocado 🥑 on sourdough toast 🍞 in our travels around Ireland but the Green-Straw Special is up there with the best. Didn't even mind when I asked for the feta 🧀 on the side and all extra splash of lime 🍋‍🟩. Good Mocha. Lovely staff and ambience, and it's open before everyone else, which is fabulous. Thanks for a lovely last breakfast before we leave Ireland and return home. D

Amazing! Absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the must visit places in Ireland. We got chicken Benny and salmon eggs Benedict and AMAZING raspberry smoothie! 12/10

The food is always delicious, and their homemade desserts are incredible, especially the tiramisu cheesecake, which is absolutely amazing. They also have a great selection of matcha drinks.The atmosphere is cozy, the staff are friendly, and every visit is a pleasure. You can also order online or get delivery, which is super convenient. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and truly fresh, homemade treats! 💚🍰

Passing through Swords feeling in need of a pick me up I enjoyed a lovely slice of carrot cake moist fresh and served with fresh cream and an uplifting Latte. Also tried a smoothie called Full Immunity which did the trick for the rest of the journey. Nice option on the main street which is more or less as it was 65 years ago when I walked back and forth to Colaiste Choilm all those years ago but healthy smoothies are a welcome new addition

Fabulous brunch. Delicious coffees and smoothies. Scones were good but the highlight was a special chicken bagel sandwich. Friendly and welcoming staff.
