Food is okay but not blown away by it. Service is okay but waitress wasn't very accommodating and a little irked at any kind of questions or details. Atmosphere was good in front bar with locals treated much better than outsiders.

The food at this pub is exceptionally good! We had the pan-fried sea bass fillet. Crispy skin and very flavorful with Asian spices, but not overly spicy, served with stir-fried vegetables and a delicious homemade chutney. And the staff, like almost everywhere in Ireland, are very friendly and efficient. I would easily make a detour for this pub.

A place we stumbled upon by chance and highly recommend. Excellent food, from the macaroni to the carbonara with bacon, the lamb, and the fish—everything delicious. A pleasant surprise.

This gorgeous little gem, situated in a building that was once a bakery in the 1700’s, is an excellent little pub! Very busy and full of locals, always a good sign! All the food was fabulous, the service and ambiance the same! Definitely make a point to stop in here if you’re passing through.

We visited this very well run pub for my mother-in-laws birthday. Excellent food and service at affordable prices. We were made to feel so welcome on arrival. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly staff, made to feel welcome and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. First class service, food was outstanding, fresh, hot and plentiful. Definitely recommend their special home made hot rice pudding!

02/07/2025: Long time since iv been there but what i remember about the food was amazing. And can't wait to come back and try the manu. Best wishes chef. It's was a amazing experience and helped me has a chef..went forget my time there.thanks
18/06/2025: This is a beautiful restaurant. The restaurant is warm and friendly. The food quality/flavour is fantastic, and the presentation is truly outstanding. Of course, food like that, needs service that is comparably outstanding and the service team definitely fit that bill. The staff are "on the ball" with service but they still have time to engage in jovial conversation. They are knowledgeable about the food and couldn't be more helpful. After our meal, we moved to the bar for some live music. We had a fabulous evening at the Villager and we will be racing back for more

25/04/2025: Absolute peach of a pub. Lovely people, lovely fresh local food. Reasonable prices. Only downer is that it’s difficult to park. But worth trying!!
08/02/2025: Great food in a beautiful oldstyle pub, welcoming, friendly staff and locals and a blazing fire on a cold day. The chowder was delicious as was the brown bread and the calamari and prawns were as good as I have ever had.
