Visited here today and found this to be a great cosy spot with nice attentive staff and really lovely food. The young guy behind the bar has a really lovely way with people and has a good awareness of everything going on. The tall waitress with the blonde hair who was serving us was also really lovely. I had the beef while partner had the hake which were both delicious. The cheesecake on the menu today was divine, best I've had in years. Would definitely recommend and will be back again

Lovely stop off after a long walk the staff were friendly and welcoming the food was outstanding 👌 the wife even brought some home made jams from the pub would highly recommend stopping off here for a meal 😀

Third time here.The hospitality, atmosphere and home cooked food never disappoint. I would high recommend. The treacle Guinness bread is divine!

Lovely staff, really good bar. The food was very good and the pint was delicious. My wife loved her carbonara while my steak was way over cooked for my liking but enjoyable nontheless

Great food, good atmosphere. 4 of us ate here and it was a very good experience. Only issue was one of us received an over cooked dish, we asked the floor manager to check and she had the meal re-made fresh ASAP. We had starters and mains, pricing was very fair. Plus the Guinness was very tasty here. I would revisit in the future.

03/11/2024: Lovely spot for a Sunday lunch. Nice staff.
30/09/2024: A short drive from Athlone and well worth it. Busy pub with varied dishes and blackboard specials. Maybe not as much seafood as I had expected but still something for everyone. The Fjord mussels were delicious though. As I was driving I tried the 0% red wine but not a success. Will stick to soft drinks in the future.

30/06/2024: Yet again another lovely meal here. Only had started and chips this time but the mushroom and bacon salad was absolutely gorgeous. Would actually have eaten a bit more though. Prices are fairly reasonable too.
10/06/2024: Stopped here for dinner in Glasson village...food area was busy and we didn't have a reservation...but we waited only 5 minutes for a clean table...staff are very courteous and took our order promptly ..got the soup, was delicious and came with a slice of Guinness bread and brown bread ...we asked about the Guinness bread and it is baked on site, so we ended up buying a loaf.... got the homemade burger with chips, onions, mushrooms, pepper sauce on a large potato croquette...was so delicious...my husband got the creamiest pint of Guinness...we were too full to eat dessert so cannot make comment..have since sent 10 other people over for dinner on our recommendation....will definitely be returning 😋
