Hairy Lemon in Dublin

So fun and full of life, good food.

I ordered a burger. Normally I'm used to being asked how I want it cooked. When it came out the fries were hotter than the burger which was disappointing. Staff if nice, but for $20 roughly for a burger and fries I would expect the food to be hot and not over cooked. Overall the place is alright, but what you get for the cost left me feeling a bit underwhelmed and I travel a lot, so a burger is often my go to for quick and easy when I'm trying to find something simple.

Had a great visit to the Hairy Lemon. Loved the feel, plenty of seating and decor was on point.

The Hairy Lemon has a very interesting reason for it name...Anyways 3 lads and a lady walk into a bar twice over a days period! First we went for breakfast. The nice part is the menu offers a "mini Irish" with all the things you love about a full, but half portions. It was perfectly priced at €15.50 Euros. For visitors, the numbers that follow the food items on the menu, represents allegens. The only issue with the breakfast was the eggs were not cooked to order or at least I wasn't asked...It was served over hard. The toast was perfect served with two pats of Kerry Gold and the puddings delicious. I had a cup of the Tea (Barry's) with milk and brown sugar to finish. On Sunday, we went over a drink and to have a snack about 2 in the afternoon. I ordered a really nice cider by Falling Apple with a Strawberry and Lime flavor (€8). We were seated at table 25. It is so fun as it is a booth tucked under the stairs. Our server gave us a sharpie and I had a dollar. We left a message. The volume was great as we were able to hear well and sat for a good amount time eating chips (fries) with ketchup and malt vinegar. The bathrooms were very clean. They are upstairs and it is great to see around the pub

Cracking little pub this. Lots of history (parts of The Commitments filmed there) general Irish folklore. Some good music with musicians taking requests. Decent cocktails. Reasonably priced considering location. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Stopped in while visiting Dublin with friends for the TCU/UNC football game. Great food (the Guinness & Beef was excellent), strong atmosphere, and helpful staff. Staff had lots of great recommendations.

Worth stopping in! A cool place to grab a pint.

We had the Dublin Cobbler, which was recommended to us after our tour at the Irish Whiskey Museum. The stew was really delicious and definitely worth trying. Unfortunately, there is a very strong smell when you first enter the pub, although fortunately, you don’t notice it anymore in the dining area.

Pretty good dinner and lively atmosphere. We arrived early and they made a space for us.
