Staff are amazing, nothing too much. Down side with location its 20 minutes outside the city centre, if they decide to utilise the mini bus again to run guests to and from city centre, train station shopping centre or even an excursion for a nominal fee which in turn could back into the maintence etc. of the vehicle that would bring in extra revenue to have at least two mini buses on the go. It could also potentially attract external customers to eat there too.

Stayed for 2 nights with 2 rooms for 4 of us. Easy to find, park and check in. Rooms a little small but very clean and all well equipped. Bar food exceptional as we're the staff, especially the lady with the red hair in the bar.

This is a fantastic place to stay. It has really cozy rooms and it's old and historic. It has a great selection of food and drinks. The people are very nice. The staff are extremely helpful and willing to go the extra distance for you, it has excellent food and the portions are very large. You get breakfast in the morning. If you choose to purchase that with your room. If you need taxis or lyft, they come right to the hotel and it's right next to a dual carriage, lucan village is about ten minute walk where you can catch buses straight into dublin city itself. Thank you, Lucan Spa hotel 🏨

GOOD QUALITY 3 STAR HOTEL ACCOMMODATION AND BREAKFAST. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND TIDY AND WE ENJOYED A DELICIOUS EVENING MEAL AT THE PUB LOCATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR. STAFF ARE MOSTLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND THE BREAKFAST WAS QUITE SUBSTANTIAL IF A LITTLE HECTIC AND UNORGANISED IN TERMS OF GETTING TEA FOR MY TABLE. THE ROOM WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE FOR A TWIN ROOM WITH LARGER SIZED BEDS, AT 169 EUROS PER NIGHT. NEVERTHELESS THE HOTEL IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED JUST OFF OF THE N4, ON THE ROAD OUT WHEST OF DUBLIN!

Second time to visit in a few months. Both times had the feathered beef. First time was done well and would have recommended. Second time however I sent it back as it was tough and inedible. I suppose it depends on luck for quality.

Old Mill

27/08/2024: Called in at lunch time today, very busy but they seated us after around 3mins as we were lucky a few people were just leaving. My hubby had Irish Stew (comes with bread) and a pint, I had homemade cottage pie and a hot chocolate, came to around €48 which is expensive but considering you're right in the heart of the Temple Bar area that's standard price. Everything we had was top quality, really good quality beef in cottage pie and they also give a side of gravy that's so tasty and full of roast vegetables, it really compliments the dish. Hubby said lamb in his stew was so tender and tasty! Trust me you won't need to order the additional chips (€3 extra) as the mains on their own are huge!! Staff very friendly and courteous. Bathroom was clean and functional, no complaints. All in all a really good meal in an historic area of Dublin ☺️
