Harp Tavern in Sligo

On a day trip to Sligo, we had an early dinnerat The Harp Tavern. The food was really very good and included Fish and Chips with a large portion of cod and crispy chips. We also ordered the seafood chowder (pictured) which they are known for. Along with all this food, we had a cheeseburger that was very, very good. It was cooked perfectly and had a good crust on it.

As a longtime New Englander, I can say this is maybe the single best bowl of seafood chowder I've ever had. It haunts me, it's so good. Stop what you're doing and go enjoy it with buttered soda bread and a Guinness.

Really really good, we were welcomed upon arrival we didn't have a booking, we had a group of 6 and they had a table ready for us in minutes, great selection on the menu and reasonable priced, great Guinness, dtaff were really friendly and went through the menu and gave recommendations, id definitely recommend a visit and ill definitely be back.

Food was really good. We had the the wings to start, bbq we're my favourite then the salmon, the sea bass, the roast beef and the fish and chips. All excellent and good size portions. There was a music session on and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were a little under pressure with seating and tables

Had a lovely meal here on s Saturday night. It was busy but the staff were very helpful and found us a spot. Fish was excellent as was the food freshness and presentation.

Seriously the nicest place in Ireland. But not really. I have respect for the people who work for this lady. She has the luxury of having people working for her. Acting nice to the guests, but bitching down on her staff. Just a shame. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is substandard. The atmosphere is very nice. For the tourist who wants to spend their money. A tip for the problem with the wine, which the owner got angry about: Put an empty bottle on the bar. Fill the glass of wine. Draw a line on the empty bottle as a measure. You can then fill the next glasses up to the line. You don't have to use that dirty cup anymore. And it looks more professional. One action, no waste. And working quickly. You're welcome... Too bad for the lovely people who work there. But I don't need to go back. Regards, colleague from Zeeland, Netherlands.

Trad cession was on when we came in for a beer. It was a blast!

We went to The Harp Tavern for lunch and had a good experience. We tried a burger, which was decent, with a fairly average flavor, and a beef sandwich which, on the other hand, was delicious and the highlight of the meal. We really liked the atmosphere: it's a place where tourists mingle with locals, giving it a very authentic feel. If you're looking for a pleasant pub to eat and have a drink in Sligo, it's worth a visit.
