Came here early during the Christmas period, place soon filled up. Been a while since id been here and menu hadnt changed much. Food is a good standard, pizzas are probably the least strongest dish on the menu all the rest is very good. No festive additions to the menu which i was hoping for. Upon leaving i noticed that other tables had a second menu which actually was a Christmas menu, i mentioned it to the staff member who served us who then shrugged their shoulders when i mentioned that they never showed us the seperate Christmas menu. That annoyed me but too late then.

Lovely decor, good atmosphere, food and service

Good food, but is 22 euros the standard price for a turkey and ham dinner? Very friendly, efficient staff, with smiles all around, always nice to see. Nice pint of Guinness as well.

Lovely atmosphere and great food.

Normally we’d enjoy the Hatchet Inn and hopefully this visit was a blip. Didn’t get off to a good start when we used their website form to request a booking for 6. We got no reply and when we rang the next morning the first person to answer just said “ring back in 20 minutes” and hung up before we could say anything. The next person we spoke to said that they didn’t take bookings for more than 5 (??). But they also don’t reply to tell you that or have that info on their website. We decided to roll the dice and drove there anyway and there was a table for 6, which was good. We ordered roasts (beef and turkey & ham) but they were only ok. Service was good, prices were fair and portions were generous. We’ve definitely had better experiences at the Hatchet and hopefully will again. Once/if we do then I’ll update this review to reflect it.

Very good, enjoyable Sunday lunch. Excellent service, the Sunday roast was a good as any I've tasted. The bathrooms were clean. Highly recommended
