I serendipitously stopped here to use the toilet while cycling the Wild Atlantic Way. The lovely staff there offered some free samples of the chocolate, and believe me when I say I had a transcendent experience while tasting this chocolate. I have never tasted anything quite so pure and delicious, and maybe it was the 600km I had just biked but this chocolate quite literally brought tears to my eyes. I was crying in a chocolate store. This is now one of my core memories. I refused to drink water the rest of the day just to savor the taste in my mouth for as long as possible. Most sadly I didn't bring any home with me to Canada for fear of not wanting to pack any extra weight in my already full panniers, but I will never forget the experience I had here.

I was really craving Hazelnut Mountain's Cafe Mocha and cakes ever since my last visit, so I was extremely happy to get there again. Alas, some good things don't last. This time my mocha was nice, nothing more, and the cheesecake-brownie that I ordered was much too dry. There is no reception there, so I couldn't pay with my Revolut. So I reached for cash, and the barista told me they didn't really deal with cash so there's an issue with giving me change. It wasn't much, so I left it as tip, but it's highly unprofessional in my opinion. They can either get satellite coverage, or make sure to have enough cash. On the one hand I'm sad, on the other, at least that mocha craving is no more. I am giving it 4 stars now instead of the previous 5, mainly because I know they can reach 5, and it was a long ride to get there, so them settling for less than best is just annoying. Here's my previous review: This was an extremely nice surprise! I had the BEST mocha (they call it Chocolate Latte) I've ever had - and I've had LOTS of mochas! Very deep flavours, a sophisticated aroma, pleasurable thickness - I enjoyed it immensely, please never change it! I woke up the next morning with a wild craving for another one😊 The cakes looked so basic and the variety was really small, that I almost didn’t order one, so I'm glad that I did eventually- because it was excellent. I ordered a pistachio brownie, and the pistachio layer was just as crunchy as a Dubai chocolate. It was very satisfying to munch on. My friends took a carrot cake I think - it was lovely and special as well. The shop has items with such beautiful packages! And the chocolates are very good. All in all if you're in the area, do yourselves a favour and don't miss this lovely place! I would prepare some cash though, because while in the Cafe they had no issues with my credit card, they had issues with it in the factory shop, because it has zero cellular reception. Service was impeccable on both the Cafe and the shop. A word to the owners: Your website sucks big time! I wanted to order stuff that I didn't have the time to buy when visiting, because a bus full of tourists arrived and suddenly there were queues everywhere- I didn't find it in the website, there are like 3 products available there and that's all, it does not meet the excellence standards of your chocolates. Also, considering how far away you're situated, you are losing a lot of potential income from people who can't get to your location and still would like to buy your chocolates.

Something a little different on our Ireland holiday. We'd seen a report about Hazel Mountain Chocolate on German television, and since it was on our route anyway, we decided to check it out. It's very nice and interesting to see how the delicious treats are made. We were allowed to try a small piece of the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate (?). As we were told, it's the only chocolate made with Irish cow's milk. The chocolate is really delicious and makes a great souvenir or something to try. Of course, it's quite pricey, so it's perfect for special occasions, but too expensive for everyday consumption. The factory is definitely worth a visit, though.

The most delicious chocolate I have ever had! Have dairy free options as well. Highly recommend the dark hot chocolate with oat milk.

A quaint place to sample some of the local chocolate. A little pricey, but that's okay. You can take a guided tour of the shop and purchase products. There's a bar, restrooms, and parking. Bear the place there is the possibilities to make a pictures of the surrounding landscape.

The best cacao-latte I've ever had. The homemade cakes are very tasteful as well.
