Hemmingways in Dublin

Hemingway’s, a small restaurant by the sea in Dublin, knows what it’s doing. You walk in, and the salt air clings to you. The place feels tight, but warm, alive with conversation. You sit down and order the chowder because that’s what you do by the sea. Then it comes. A dark, speckled bowl, full of something that doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. It’s hearty, rich, full of life. You taste it, and it’s the best chowder you’ve had in years—maybe ever. They don’t drown it in cream or overplay the spices. No, it’s simple, and that’s what makes it good. The bread on the side, soft and dense, pairs like old friends with the butter. There’s something honest about the place. They don’t overdo it because they don’t have to. Hemingway’s makes a meal that sticks with you, makes you want to come back. Maybe it’s the sea air or maybe it’s the way they know just what to put in the pot. Either way, it works.

We had an amazing experience at Hemmingways today. The food was super delicious, the service outstanding and we are so happy. Can only recommend the place for exceptional sea food.

I think I will recommend this treasure of a restaurant in Clontarf to everyone around me. They have the best service attitude and the most exquisite and delicious food. It's by far my favourite restaurant in Ireland. I visit almost every month and Michelle is very welcoming and a great owner who is very approachable! I really enjoy the pasta and prawn dishes and recommend anyone coming to try them!

Clontarf's best kept secret! Consistently excellent food, good quality without rip off prices. The wine selection is perfect and all of this comes with friendly, attentive service.

Comida increíble, servicio fantástico! Para empezar, tuvimos pasteles de pescado (10 / 10 mejores pasteles de pescado que he probado en mucho tiempo) y gambas tempura. Para la red tuvimos Paella y el popurrí de mariscos, ambos eran deliciosos!
