Hesters Golden Eagle Bar & Restaurant in Castlerea

Had Sunday lunch, arrived about 3pm, lovely crowd in the restaurant, nice buzz. Seated within minutes, excellent staff and service. Dinner was 1st class, I had the roast pork with stuffings n apple sauce, husband had the homemade beef burger in gravy, both came with mash potatoes, beautiful freshly cooked vegetables and chips. Food was piping hot. Really happy we with our meals.

Beautiful place, wonderful atmosphere. The good was good, but they were already sold out of the lamb by 5:30.

I ordered a small lunch plate of bacon and cabbage, it was more than enough and very good.

Dropped into Hesters on our way to Knock for lunch. Had the chicken wrap. It was delicious served with a lovely salad and chips. It was only 12.95 such good value. Understandable the place was buzzing. No wonder they win awards for their food.

Located in the centre of Castlerea, this is a bustling place with great food and drink selection. It was busy when we arrived and we were seated quickly. Service was very friendly and efficient. The portions and very generous and good quality. As we were there in the evening, a number of the menu choices were not available given the popularity of the place.

Nice prices, nice food, only one thing I gotta say is they take food away from the table too early without asking while people are still at the table and might still eat. And could play some nice music and not just Gaelic commentators screaming haha. Overall good restaurant, recommend. Came after a year lovely food and service!

First time there today for lunch. Really good food here lots of veggies and they were cooked to perfection. Amazing deserts. I was thrilled with the service, top notch service with efficiency and a smile. This is very hard to find and well done for finding and keeping your amazing, friendly, and fabulous staff.
