Hesters Golden Eagle Bar & Restaurant in Castlerea

A very popular Pub/Restaurant with a varied interesting menu. Food was delicious and service fast and friendly. We were lucky to get a table without having to book, but next time l will make sure l reserve a table.

We visited Hester's this afternoon as part of a Communion party. There was a nice area set off the main bar/ dinning area that was set aside for ours and another party. My cousin had organised a set menu (of his favourites from the main menu) which helped to narrow down what we wanted. Our table had soup, duck spring rolls, chicken bites and caesar salad to start and chicken curry, salmon, turkey & ham and beef for main which came with a mixture of vegetables and chips on the side. The children had the option of chicken/ sausage and chips. Although very busy the food was delivered hot, really delicious and great portions. We had wonderful, tolerant staff who were more than happy to help or offer menu advice. I know that the lads are already planning their next visit.
