A long time favourite of myself and my husband. I wanted to write a review as was really shocked by the low review score. We love Chinese food and have eaten in the restaurant at least 20 times in the last 6 years. Would actually probably rate it in our top 3 Chinese restaurants in Dublin and we've tried most. The menu is very extensive with both hotpot and bbq options available, tons of traditional Chinese dishes (spicy and not spicy), authentic Korean dishes (I lived in Korea) and a small selection of Japanese dishes. I like that there isn't a lot of fusion style dishes here. We have tried many dishes and more often opt for 3 main sharing plates and boiled rice on the side. The portion size is excellent. We always find our food absolutely delicious and the staff and front of house very friendly.

We enjoyed a tasty meal here. The food was very nice. The service was very good and quick. Prices were reasonable. We walked so I don't know about near by parking as not familiar with the area. I would eat there again based on the tasty food and very friendly/excellent service.

I've been here twice now and this is my new favourite spot to eat in the city!! The service is very efficient and the servers are lovely. The food was brought out very quickly, and is so gorgeous!! The soup noodles are hearty and flavourful, I would definitely recommend. Delicious and in great portions – well worth the money!!

I’m obsessed with the food here—seriously, it’s that good! 😍 Every time I order, it hits the spot. My absolute favourite is mixed seafood in oyster sauce with those big, juicy prawns, mussels, squid rings, and the chunky, firm veg—such a perfect combo! Everything’s always cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Service is always quick too, . Just top-tier all round. Can’t recommend them enough!

We order beef stir fry, fish in chili oil, Hong Kong fried rice, I like all of them but my fave is the fish soup in chili oil.

Takeout dinner of sweet and sour spare ribs, the ribs were very thickly coated with flour and not much meat, just a bunch of bones, the sweet and sour sauce was very strong in vinegar flavor and lacked layers.

Went there twice. One for hotpot, another for the standard menu. Hotpot is disappointing. Standard menu is exceptional. Decent price and big portion. Excellent service and fast to respond.

Lok Moon

10/06/2025: Lok Moon is a long-standing favorite for a reason! The food is consistently delicious, with rich flavors and generous portions. Whether you’re ordering classics like crispy shredded chicken, sweet and sour pork, or their tasty house specials, everything is cooked to perfection and arrives hot and fresh. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick and reliable. Great value for money, and perfect for a comforting takeaway night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for top-quality Chinese food in the area!

Kites

18/10/2025: Excellent service and delicious food. Truly enjoyed this restaurant. Fabulous service and really comfortable seating as well. Highly recommend the fried wonton.
14/09/2025: Quite a relaxed atmosphere in a peaceful setting. It was a gathering of friends and I was the one who suggested this restaurant (even though it was ages ago that I was last here!). The food was plentiful and decent. However, the service needs to be reviewed...when a waiter came to pour the wine, he deliberately ignored someone, and we had to ask him "excuse me, this glass is empty!". How is that possible? Either a lack of attention or poor training... I have no comment! Plus, for a Friday night, the establishment closes at 2200 (a bit too early in my opinion). I also find that the food is about 15-20% more expensive than most similar restaurants in Dublin...is that because it's in Ballsbridge? (an area known for being the residence of wealthy people). I didn't hold a grudge and we left a tip anyway. Sorry but it's unlikely I'll come back here.
