Hillbilly's Family Restaurants in Dublin

Went to Hillbillys yesterday 'Rathmines ' for the first time, ordered a dinner box for takeaway, the girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful when I asked her for particular pieces of chicken, I could see that the man doing the cooking was quick and efficient, the only way knock back was the gravy ,as a regular in older established chicken franchises, Hillbillys gravy was a disappointment, their gravy was much too thick and the taste did not reflect the wonderful taste of the chicken and flavoured coating, gravy has to be thick but it also has to be able to flow ,the consistency of this gravy was unfortunately like cement, the dinner box was excellent, staff were really pleasant, get the gravy right, consistency and more flavour and this place will be a winner, John

Excellent fried chicken 🍗. Even better than KFC in my opinion.

This is literally a top. Getting this beauty menu for 10.80 euros. It took only like 8 minutes and I was already eating. Very good quality and portions for a very good price. 💙💯

Incredible place !!!! We loved that place me and my girlfriend. We went two times there, in early september, the staff are very very kind, it was definitly the best spot to eat chicken in Dublin, definitly !!!!! The chicken was delicious, excellent, crispy, chicken with a lot of flavour !! They also have an incredible bacon cheeseburger. Their cookies were just perfect, I recommend.

Gave this place a try for the weekend takeaway and it didn’t disappoint. We had a few different bits and all of the order was tasty (slight let down on the curry and fatty bacon), but overall was tasty. The delivery was quick and the order was packaged well also. I can’t really complain too much about here. €44 (incl delivery) for 2 x burgers, 2 x loaded fries and a tender meal, so decent enough value. I will go back.

Really good place Kind and smiling stuff always ready to help with a choice Serving are really fast Tenders wasn't over baked and the breading has a very pleasant texture . Special respect for the garlic sauce 👌🏻

The chicken is very nice and the gravy is decent too. The only thing I'd say to improve is the chips, just very standard.

I live close to hillbilly's in Rathmines and have gone here numerous times for a meal, the prices are decent , atmosphere is good it is a quaint store always kept spotless clean , not very busy during the evening but nice if you want to relax and enjoy a meal compared to other fast food places , staff are very nice and attentive , the food is good quality chicken always nice and seasoned , chicken burger is nice also and gravy is amazing and very tasty , food is always fresh overall a great place for a quick bite to eat under 20€.
