Honey Honey Cafe in Portmarnock

15/07/2026: We arrived in Ireland a day ago and tonight my wife and 4 kids were hungry late in the evening . We noticed this place on Google was close to where we were staying and it was open until 10:30 pm. We showed up at 9:45 pm and the waitress said they had closed for the day since business was slow. Instead the owner Lamar said let them in even after the entire restaurant was cleaned. They seated us, reopened the kitchen and Lamar the owner cooked for us. They never rushed us or asked us to leave. The owner allowed his entire staff to leave after we were served and he finished out taking care of us and having us pay. He gave us great recommendations on other places to travel as well. He went over and above for my family on a late night dinner. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was 5 star quality. 03/07/2026: As an Austrian, I'm rather critical when it comes to schnitzel and good food in general – but I really enjoyed this place. The food was excellent, the service friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant. The only slight drawback: there was no tiramisu for dessert. Therefore, I'm giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Otherwise, everything was truly top-notch – highly recommended!
