Hook & Ladder Waterford in Waterford

Usually love Hook & Ladder, but last visit wasn't the best experience. We couldnt get out of there quickly enough literally tormented by the same looped 4 traks of 'musak' and at way too loud a volume for comfort. We couldn't believe none of the staff seemed to be aware that the tracks were replaying, I think we heard them almost a dozen times. The other unbelievably loud noise compounded the first. Five or six late teen to early twenties waitor/waitresses were making a right racket having a congress at the counter, blissfully unaware of the volume they were at. Very nice, each one, but we genuinely felt agitated and stressed by the time we got out of there. Not a visit we'd ever like to repeat.

One of my favourite spots for brunch in Waterford. We recently hosted a baby shower here and the service was lovely. We were accommodated nicely and also the food was great. Highly recommend for a cozy and relaxing vibe .

I came into Hook&Ladder today with a few of my friends for some lunch and I have to say we had a very pleasant experience. We were seated quickly by this lovely blonde girl, and our food and drinks came quickly and were nice and fresh. The interior is nice and cosy, the music wasn’t too overwhelming. I was served again by the girl that seated us when I went to pay, and her demeanour was so warm and inviting, I was observing her as we sat and she is quite young but I assume she is management from now on top of everything she was, have to pay compliments to the staff for the lovely lunch! We will definitely be coming back🙂

Had a lovely stop at Hook & Ladder in Waterford. The pancakes were really tasty and the Americano was just what I needed. The place itself has a nice, relaxed vibe, and the service was spot on. I don’t usually leave reviews, but the staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

I had such an excellent lunch here and can’t recommend it highly enough. The toasties were golden and crisp on the outside, generously filled, and packed with flavour. Comfort food at its best, but clearly made with care and attention to detail. What truly made the visit stand out, though, was the service. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive in just the right way. They were quick to take orders, happy to answer questions about the menu, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was enjoying their meal. It wasn’t just efficient service, it was thoughtful service — the kind that makes you feel at home straight away. The place itself has a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, and together with the great food and excellent staff, it creates the perfect spot. I left feeling both well-fed and really well looked after. This is definitely a place I’ll be returning to, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone!

This is my favourite spot was in recently and got speaking to a lovley lady Shauna she was extremely professional and courteous, all the staff are very polite always a smile and no request ever seems like its a issue. The food is amazing also,Can not recommend enough

As a regular coffee customer, I absolutely love this place! The staff are always so friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is fantastic. A special shout out to Shauna the best barista maker in town!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The staff were all very welcoming and the service was great. I was happy when I left, which in itself, says all it needs to say.
