Hug a mug is an excellent cafe that caters for all! Staff are brilliant and so welcoming. I usually don’t write reviews but if you are wondering about trying the amazing coffee or food, don’t hesitate, as you won’t regret calling in. Your first time definitely won’t be your last!

Been here twice now for breakfast. Food was great both times, great value also. Staff was friendly. Cakes are delicious.

Love the ambience and cozy atmosphere. Food was lovely too. The serving of tea was pretty large which i enjoyed as a tea lover. Loved the overall experience. Definitely my new favourite Cafe in Baltinglass.

10/02/2025: A smart enough cafe-cum-restaurant with helpful staff and plenty of tables. Carnivores are well catered for. There are no vegetarian menu options so I had a full breakfast without the meat. That’s a shame given the choice of plant-based bacon-like and sausage products available now, and the little imagination and time it needs to make meat-free vegetable, fish, or dairy dishes. The pot of tea top-up was atop the same blanched teabag-eek! We can do better. This doesn’t take away from its being clean, tidy, and very welcoming. It’s a great meet-up venue and shouldn’t be overlooked.
