Hummingbird Cafe in Portarlington

Love coming in here apart from one issue.. staff. In fairness one in particular. Don't know her name, middle aged lady with short blonde hair. Anyway each time we go in there we are made to feel like we are an inconvince to her. Never a nice word or a thanks. The others are lovely to be fair but I seriously hope whom ever she is has a better day the next time we are in.

As a regukar here i can say it's always a good cappuccino if you sit in. Like their food, especially the breakfast bap which is savage. Only issue is service is dreadful. They really need to sort out the food/till operation, it's chaos ordering, waiting and paying. Other than that a really nice place to sit in.

Amazing value- sandwich and a cup of tea for less than €10. Lovely staff and great atmosphere.

Blaw is the way to go. Had scrambled egg twice there it’s like gravel. They make you feel like you’re kinda in the way especially the older ladies when they clean the tables which is very odd and kinda funny. Coffee excellent. Got a telling off for ordering food and coffee off the same person. Fix that and excellent. The young Palestinian guy is very friendly the others not so much. I got an odd look of an older member of staff when I was talking to the young guy. Felt like I must not be friendly to him. Odd charm about the place.
