My local probably go here more than I should but there's no better place to go for a couple pints with friends or even by yourself. Good music also 10/10

Fantastic food (easily the best pub pizza I’ve had - I got the hot Crowe gluten free) it also came out within 20 minutes of ordering. Very nice and cozy atmosphere. Staff were so kind and clearly enjoyed working there. Drinks well priced and delicious. What else can I say, it’s a great Irish pub ❤️

Continues to be a place of meetings, of enjoyment, of hydration, of healing. The staff are excellent. The ambience calming ( in the early evening ). Here you could plan to elope, start a revolution (peaceful, cultural), or hide out from a lockdown or a zombie apocalypse...

01/02/2025: First time trying H&L and it was beautiful. Went for a breakfast with my wife and Can't fault anything in regard to service and the food. We didn't even have a lunch or dinner that day we were so full from the breakfast. Only downfall was price, it was just the 2 of us and cost €50. Crazy for a breakfast but considering it filled us for the day you can understand why.
23/01/2025: Service was really good. It has a nice atmosphere in the main restaurant. Decor of the bathroom area is weird and they could be cleaner. Food is nice I enjoyed but it is very expensive. I nearly died when I found out we were charge 17.45 for an OMELETTE. Like it wasn't anything special. Yes it had toppings but that was crazy money. Then 3.50 for a tiny glass of orange juice!! The eggs benedict could have had more sauce for the price. Nice food and staff very friendly but way over priced for what you are getting.

23/02/2025: The staff? Sound. The pints? Sound. The craic? Sound. I live for the gals and the gays, and if fate ever claims me, let my wake and funeral be held within these sacred walls. If Pharmacia falls, I will fall with her she is the beating heart of limerick city. The bathroom doors aren’t just doors,they are a living archive, a reminder of laughter, chaos, and years that slipped through our fingers too fast. If only the smoking area didn’t turn me into a frostbitten relic of the night. More heat lamps, I beg, before I perish in the cold.
