A little insider tip in downtown Galway for anyone looking for something sweet. We were served very kindly and with a lot of patience. If you don't find anything here, you won't find anything else. The prices are okay at €2/100g and whatever you choose is weighed straight away. Everything is very transparent and fair.

Irish shops have great ambientation, but this one takes the cake. Combined with the sweetest lady in all Ireland behind the counter and cheaper candy than most places here.

This IS the best candy shop in town! Lovely staff, great choices and fair prices. I recommend getting a mixed back of your choice (fizzy and sour candy especially)! It's so fresh and tender - just a joy to eat!

A Bite at It Sligo

29/03/2024: A great place to study. The Engineering department is awesome with all modern and up to date equipment (better than some companies that I've worked in). Great catering for online and in person study. The library is fantastic, and if they don't have a hardcopy they'll get you a digital copy.
14/01/2024: A great place to study, I am pursuing my BSc Honours degree at the ATU.

The Glasshouse

05/04/2024: Excellent location for a stay in sligo within walking distance to the town. The Hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment as the foyer and some areas are outdated but still very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and makecit a very nice place to visit. The food served is excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
28/03/2024: The Guinness was good, but not so helpful if you want fresh orange juice in the bar. We were advised to go to the restaurant as they didn’t have any?….surely the bartender could have popped down to get it and not me? Anyway. Generally a nice hotel, pleasant room (we didn’t book a river view). Staff from the hotel were helpful, especially at 2.30am when our neighbours returned home and wanted the world to know they were home. There seemed to be a large group in who were scattered around the hotel, which impacted our stay. The self service breakfast is served to you at the self service counter. Which I couldn’t see what was on offer. And was then served way too much. I hate waste Sligo seems a pleasant town/city, but for the Wild Atlantic Way I’d be inclined to look at a smaller/nearer venue. Good but not brilliant
