Be prepared, it is really a small restaurant and gets very crowded. I guess about 15 tables total. Book your table in advance! Very cozy and homey atmosphere. The service and the food were top notch! I highly recommend melanzane, Sicilian style vegan pasta and from main courses beef fillet and ribeye dishes. The wine selection was very good!

Had an amazing meal at Il Vicoletto - it was the best Italian my girlfriend and I have ever eaten. I had the calamari, then carbonara and finally the tiramisu - everything was incredible! Tempted to book another flight to Dublin just to come back here.

We had an amazing dinner at Il Vicoletto!
This cozy small restaurant with the wooden touches, the wines of bottle on the wall, and the Italian music offers really well-cooked food.
We had eggplant in tomato sauce as starter, seafood pasta, beef steak with roasted potatoes and pepper sauce along with red wine.
For dessert we tried tiramisu pistachio and chocolate fondant with ice cream.
The people who served us were very friendly and made us smile.
Highly recommend it!

Food was good. Tables packed in so expect to be close to your fellow diners. 3 stars because the actual menu is shorter and more expensive than the one they have on their website. Seen this sharp practice in a couple of places lately and it really annoys me...
Oh, and asked for a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the guy asks 'the red one ?'. Not sure if he was trying to be funny or just condescending.

We booked this, on a recommendation from out hotel concierge, and just loved every moment.
We were a large group of 6 on a busy Saturday night. Service wad kind and attentive. The food was outstanding. One diner ordered the steak and commented that "It was the best steak of his life". Many of us had the ravioli with carbonara sauce. It was delicious.
The restaurant is super small and energetic, so "eat it and beat it"...freeing up the table for the nest fortunate soul.

I am rather reluctant ever to give 5 stars, but Il Vicoletto totally deserves it. The restaurant is in a small side street just off the hectic Irish Pub zone of Temple Bar, a refuge from the noise and bustle. Most of the Italian restaurants in the area are primarily pizza joints, but this is certainly not. We started with the bread (with olive oil and balsamic vinegar), then the brosciutto. Main courses were the lobster ravioli and the vitello alla romano. Both superb. Great wine selection, and Peroni (of course). We finished with the chocolate fondant, with a limoncello. All for about 100 euros, which is excellent. Staff all Italian, friendly and helpful .. Restaurant is really small, and we lucked out to get a table without reservation. Tables rather tightly packed, but noise level was surprisingly low (for people used to US restaurants). Next time in Dublin we will be back!
