Killed some time here waiting for the National Gallery to open just around the corner. Good coffee, decent bakes, and a location that makes it an easy add-on before or after Kildare Street or the Gallery. Got a window table looking out over South Leinster Street and it was the best seat in the house, sun comes in and a nice bit of people watching while the coffee kicked in. Staff were genuinely warm too.. actually chatty and happy to have you there. Nothing revolutionary on the menu, fresh coffee, sandwiches and cakes, but the welcome lift it above the usual chain experience. Handy spot if you're museum hopping around this part of Dublin and want a proper sit rather than a rushed takeaway.

The place is beautiful and the staff is super friendly! In my opinion, it's the best coffee in Dublin. As an Italian, I'd also say it's the best coffee I've ever had here... everything was delicious ❤️❤️❤️

The food and drinks are good, but what makes this place is the staff! The lady who took our order was SO lovely! She gave us great recommendations (TRY THE LEMON DRIZZLE CAKE), and overall just went the extra mile – THANK YOU! Notably, both members of the staff were constantly checking that the display was well stocked and looked nice, and went downstairs to check the restroom for cleanliness (it was spot clean). @Insomnia: You have amazing employees!

Lovely staff, the lady who served us late Monday afternoon was so kind and thoughtful. She asked us where we were from, made polite conversation, and even told us we had a lovely family. Later she came and checked on us and brought warm water for our youngest son’s bottle. Great view if you can get the seats by the window (we did!). Thanks for making these tourists feel cozy and at home!

10/07/2026: We had a lovely birthday dinner here. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and arrived surprisingly quickly. The staff were friendly and service was efficient throughout the evening. The restaurant is in a very convenient city centre location, with several nearby parking garages, although street parking is limited. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 for service is that our table reservation didn't seem to have been noted when we arrived. Thankfully there were plenty of free tables, so it wasn't an issue, but I had also mentioned that it was a birthday dinner and that detail was overlooked as well. The atmosphere can get a little noisy during busy times. Overall, the quality of the food easily outweighs these minor issues. We'd happily return and would definitely recommend Ka Shing to anyone looking for good Chinese food in Dublin.

The Grattan Bar & Restaurant

05/07/2026: Great venue with amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. They even helped me with rearranging the room and did the table covers for my event setup, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend this venue. 💯
