Beshoffs of Howth in Dublin

Incredible local spot. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent ambiance. Would 100% go back if we’re ever in the area again! So glad we found it.

I'm a local and I come here often. Especially in the summer season when the seafood selection is varied and consistently fresh. I tried a new dish on the menu the other day and I'm delighted. The tuna burger is a cleverly designed and filling meal. All praise to the chef and the always helpful staff.

The tastiest, freshest, and best-served oysters I've ever had. The service is top-notch, always smiling and helpful. Whenever we're in Ireland, we always stop by Beshoffs The Market & Beshoffs Sea Grill. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! OUTSTANDING!

Good was amazing. Great wine, great selection of dishes, fresh sea food, just the quality of the service was very, very poor. When we finished our dish, the waiter has changed so it was slightly better but it could be great place, has so much potential, just the service (I know it was Saturday but at 3.30 pm)

Slowest service ever don't go here if you don't have 2.5 hours to wait to finish. Ask questions about what your ordering. The crab burger is deep fried! Everything was cold by the time it came to the table. The lobster you have to open yourself. The food took so long to get to the table. They don't know the difference between wild caught or farmed.

We came for a late lunch (13:45) and it seemed the crowd was thinning out but we did have 8 people in our group so maybe that was why it was a little slow? We were seated quickly but no one said hi to us for at least 10 minutes and then at the 15 min mark she came to get our full order. The food was brought in random order with 1/2 of us getting all our food (starters and mains) while some waited so long for the main that we asked on the timeline and were told brusquly that it was coming and not their fault because we ordered that way. Then our 2nd fish chowder took the longest coming like the timing of a dessert. Overall the atmosphere and experience outweighed the negatives and the food was good but on the pricey side for what we got. The fish chowder, the fisherman's stew and the fish cakes were the best. The fish and chips were a little lack laster.

10/10 can’t recommend highly enough, best fish & chips I’ve ever had, service was impeccable. A wonderful start to a great visit to Howth ✨
