Oar House in Dublin

This is a nice town on the water. Lots of tourists. Stopped here for lunch and asked for the open window table - there’s no view but it was light and bright. We were told there was a reservation for it (at 2:30 in the afternoon). OK. They seated us and I ordered the mussels and a seafood chowder. The mussels tasted good but they were the tiniest mussels I’ve ever had. The seafood chowder was good but again full of mussels. One of us had the seafood tacos. They had a minimal amount of seafood. Overall a mediocre experience - I will not go again. I will find a place with a view next time. 🌊

Stopped in at the Oar House after leaving another restaurant with a long wait. We were seated immediately. So glad we stopped here. I got the baked hake and it was so delicious! Salmon was excellent as well. We also shared the sticky toffee pudding cheesecake for dessert. So good!!

I didn't like that they tipped themselves... 19 euros seemed excessive to me. Especially when we spent over 200 on food and drinks...

Excellent service and the seafood was amazing

We had a mix of all sorts of starters and everything was fantastic. Friendly, attentive and personal service.

Turist prices. Fresh fish and seafood.

Had a rustic vibe with good sunlight in the back area, perfect for a sunny day. The food was good. vegeterian options, although few, were at lesst available giving visitors some additional options as well

I loved it! I highly recommend the fish pie and the mussels in sauce. Spectacular!

I went here on a monday bank holiday as a walk in and it was a table of 2 Food was ok nothing special at all but city centre prices except for desserts Oyster was probably the best food i had Service was standard, there is a 10% tip on the bill so in a certain way it doesnt matter if they do good service or not. Restaurant looks a little bit old but nice I would go back only for drinks outside
