Ivy House in Dublin

Have to say Hats off to the owner. Exactly what drumcondra needed. A real focal point and social hub in which to meet , enjoy and be proud of one of the best pubs on the Northside hands down. From the 1st steps in you are consumed by the intense amber decor and lighting and the further you go in the better it gets. A sublime, almost hypnotic atmosphere just slaps you and you cannot help but be impressed. The staff compliment it beautifully, looking after every detail as if you are the most important person in there. Five out of five?? I think ten out of ten would be a better rating . Food bot available currently but when it is I look forward to another review of this Northside gem.

Patrick’s Carthy’s is cheaper and has a better atmosphere

This is gem of place....came to Dublin for a few days....stayed in Skylon Hotel.....Watched footie in the pub/bar across the road.....The Ivy House... brilliant a warm Irish welcome.....Staff brilliant, friendly, sense of humour 2nd to none.....Can't wait to return.....Rob W

A great pub with a soul. Great music and a very pleasant decor. A huge plus was that, despite being a Saturday night, it wasn't oppressively crowded like other places nearby. The perfect balance between fun and comfort. Highly recommended!
