Into the west in Strokestown

Visited Into the West in Roscommon recently and I have to say, everything was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was top-notch — I had Roger’s Ribs and they were absolutely delicious. Tender, juicy, and full of flavour, they filled my belly and left me more than satisfied. The chips were cooked to perfection — crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — exactly how they should be. Under the new management, the place has a whole new energy. The owners are down-to-earth, incredibly friendly, and genuinely helpful. It’s clear they care about making every guest feel welcome and at home. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Into the West is well worth a visit. Great food, warm atmosphere, and fantastic service — what more could you want?

We were a party of 4 and ordered stuffed mushrooms as starters, followed by 2xFish & Chips and 2xScampi. All was delicious and the portions were huge. We cannot comment on dessert as none of us had any capacity left!

Solid food on a quiet Sunday afternoon travelling from west to east! Very few in the restaurant.

We were on holiday from Scotland and ate here three times !! Lovely food at a good price. Great place i will be back

Really surprised by the food here, very good quality pub grub. Was a bit quite when we arrived and the place has a very rustic / trad feeling to it, and the staff are very friendly and chatty. We had a daily special, pasta, pizza and a burger. They all came hot and timly. The burger had a lovely chared taste, pasta was cooked properly and the pizza base was crisp. Overall the was food cooked well and tasted great.

Took the Mrs out and the Guinness in here is just perfect absolutely the best . We had a burger and it was lovely too. Staff are great ..I've been a good few times now and always been tips. They obviously care about what they do and it shows well.

Writing for a friend - Una Clay - As well as serving up consistently great food the crew here went over and above for me during the power outage. Joan, Brian and Emma enabled device charging, showering and filled my flask. Exceptional hospitality, I was really impressed. It matched their homemade pasta dishes and Roger's Ribs..they are way above average too. Many thanks to my fantastic "Into the West people"- brilliant!
