Ivy House in Dublin

A very friendly pub with plenty of space on a Friday night. Apparently it's full of students during the week but let them enjoy themselves.

This place was such a great spot to watch sports in Drumcondra but it appears the new owners have different plans. No sound in the lounge (the Ivy) for the last two weekends and told that they only put the sound on for "big games" but you can go into Cartys to watch it with sound (no food in there though!). The big games in question were the North London derby and Man City vs. Arsenal. Based on this I think it's just not the spot to watch premier league football at the weekend anymore because I'm not sure you get bigger than those games at the minute in English football. I go in here for Rugby aswell, will they have the sound on for that in future? I dunno, here's hoping :) If the new owners leaned into the fact that the screens and the viewing angles and the food etc. is better than all their competitors in Drumcondra they could get a great crowd in every weekend to watch sports but I get the impression they still don't know what they want to be. Still, good food at a good price point and the pints are good quality still.

It’s a lovely place but when it’s busy it takes an age to get served at the bar. It’s not the fault of the staff, there just isn’t enough of them.

Called in here before Coldplay a week or so ago! My brother had a broken foot, and we somehow managed to get a great seat, view of the football and lovely drinks. Recommend for people going to Croke Park as it was handy enough to get there from the Ivy. Especially impressive that we had good service when the place was so busy, and many other bars in the area probably wouldn't have had any seats free.

Fantastic pub and restaurant, very welcoming and friendly staff, food was outstanding both times we ate there and drink prices werent the worst either Was a great atmosphere before the concert but the other night it was quiet suited us after a long day so no faults either night

Pints after AC/DC. Great job, nice place.

Stopped in literally 10 min before they were closing (unknown to us) and the bartenders were super great about it. We were staying across the street at Skylon, and wanted to close out our trip w a final night cap. Convenient, reasonably priced beers, and very friendly

Abbiamo cenato presso questo ristorante/pub poiché era accanto al nostro hotel e dopo una giornata in giro avevamo bisogno di un posto vicino da raggiungere. È stato tutto secondo le aspettative e di buon livello. Anche i prezzi sono nella media dei ristoranti della città, forse con il fatto che sia in periferia ci si aspettava qualcosina di più economico.

Always pay a visit to this brilliant bar restaurant when staying at a nearby Dublin hotel. Have never had a bad experience on any visit in past number of years. Always look forward to coming and enjoying. Great food, friendly service and an absolute must for beer lovers. Fabulous selection of craft /IPA beers. Little gem of a place. Love it.
