First time in Jack Monday's. It's a good place for a late breakfast or lunch. We had nice food for lunch. I had a wrap and my wife had a club sandwich. It came with salad and cubed potatoes. The coffee (I had a double espresso) was okay, but I like it a bit stronger. Lovely place with a view over the river Shannon and towards the castle. We will certainly come back for lunch.

Excellent all-around for coffee ☕️ food and service. It's in the most beautiful part of limerick. It's a very relaxing place to go with great views of the river shannon and King Johns Castle 🏰

Just dropped in to get out of the cold. Had a very nice flat white and probably one of the best scones in Ireland, and the UK for that matter. Good selection of gluten free cakes and the festive sandwich also looked amazing. Lovely atmosphere, could hardly hear the Christmas music, and really friendly service.

29/09/2025: TACOS!!!!!!!!!! Finally ! real, edible tacos in Limerick! I’ve been seriously disappointed with the Mexican food scene here for a long time. Had tacos from a food truck before and those tacos were terrible, clearly tailored to local tastes rather than authentic flavors. But this new spot at Sambros total game changer. Proper tacos with good quality meat, fresh ingredients, and actual flavor. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. So glad to see Limerick finally getting it right when it comes to Mexican food. Highly recommend!

17/09/2025: Donkey Ford's is the real thing, an authentic, unpretentious chippie in an inconspicuous little shop that does nothing but fry fish and chips and sausage and serve them wrapped in paper for take-out meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our cod and whiting with chips, though it was disappointing to find that the cod was some sort of pressed, pre-fab fish and not the authentic thing. All the people doing the frying and the delightful woman taking our order couldn't have been nicer, too.
07/09/2025: No frills chipper. Best tasting chips ever. Great value for money. €7 for 2 battered sausages, chips and a can of drink!!
