Stopped in there thinking it was just some little roadside bar for a quick bite but surprised by how good it was. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. Highly recommended!

We ordered a burger and the seafood chowder. While both were delicious, the seafood chowder was the best I've had visting Ireland. Yum Edit/ We then had dessert. Oh wow.

The lady working there is so nice & works very hard getting drinks, food orders, clearing tables, etc. We stopped for drinks Thursday then returned Friday for food. Everything was delicious.

Barne Lodge

18/10/2025: I came here with my whole family, adults and children, and we had a wonderful meal. We ordered fish and chips (cod) and a beef sandwich with mushrooms and onions, which was spectacularly good. The service was very attentive and pleasant; it was like eating at home after a hike to Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage. I highly recommend it.
14/10/2025: We had a fantastic meal here! My grandad said it was the best fish and chips he’s had in years — perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The burger was absolutely delicious too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the service was quick, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this pub for a great meal and warm atmosphere!

The Village at Wheelocks

28/09/2025: Been a few times to the village and it never fails to deliver, and as always the food is top class and the staff
27/09/2025: Strawberry picking was amazing with very friendly and loved the breakfast vegetarian friendly
