Jalan Jalan in Sligo

Honestly one of the best Asian restaurants we’ve been to. Great atmosphere on a weekday to start with, followed by a great variety of dishes with many vegan options. We were so surprised when our food came: the portions are massive and so tasty. Price was so cheap we couldn’t believe it. The waiter was really lovely, we didn’t get his name but trully so friendly and genuine. We were sad the second day we were in Sligo it was closed, I actually wanted to take some of their food to Dublin haha. Overall, great experience, highly recommend.

11/10. I was sad I didn't get a reservation in another restaurant I really wanted to try but honestly thank god because this was an overwhelmingly excellent experience. The best asian food restaurant I've experienced in Ireland by far. **Make sure you make a reservation** because they're very busy (and I understand why!). The duck noodle soup...... HOW is it so good?????? I don't even normally like duck but that duck was 10/10. The flavours of the soup!!! If I had to pick a single meal to eat for the rest of my life, it'd be that soup. My partner had the pad thai and it was also excellent, I wish I could have had both, we were literally planning to go back before we even left. It was so hard to pick whay to eat because the menu is excellent and very affordable. Another reason this place stands out is its dessert menu, different from what you normally get in asian restaurants. The staff was also attentive and super nice and quick.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recently visited Bia Bao (formerly Jalan Jalan) in Sligo and was genuinely impressed. The décor is lovely and creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. The food is absolutely to die for — full of flavour and beautifully presented — and all at very reasonable prices for the quality on offer. A fantastic addition to Sligo’s food scene. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back

Really impressed, accommodating staff, food was really fresh and descent portions. Was busy at lunchtime but they fitted us in. Would be wise to book though. Will return!

The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions that leave you more than satisfied. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and really made the visit feel welcoming. Having travelled through Asia myself, I can say the flavours are authentic, high quality and truly stand out. It’s also very reasonably priced for the quality you get. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for families — very kids-friendly, which made the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic spot with great food, great service, and a great vibe. I’ll definitely be returning!

Top class restaurant with delicious food cooked to perfection, very fresh and really great service with a wide choice of dishes on the menu. Bia Bao is a very popular place and we were lucky to get the last table available for dinner so best to come early. Owner is very kind and we will be back.
