Jay Kays Cafe in Dublin

We went there for breakfast and quickly realized it’s a popular spot. We waited in line for about 15–20 minutes, but got seated inside and had time to look through the menu. Once we got our table, the food was excellent. The pulled pork Benedict was something new for me (I usually go for salmon), but it turned out to be a great choice.

I had been here before and loved it so came back on my most recent trip. We both had the French toast with bacon added extra which was very tasty, but we felt the cost of the bacon was a bit expensive considering I got one slice, though my husband got two so maybe mine was an oversight. We left feeling a bit hungry still. We would come back, but would probably stick to a full Irish or one of the baps to get our money's worth. No wait, efficient service and friendly staff.

Absolutely the best breakfast spot in Dublin! We stopped into Jay Kay’s Cafe and were blown away by how good everything was. The chicken sandwich with mozzarella and basil was perfectly balanced—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The eggs Benedict with bacon were just as amazing, with perfectly poached eggs and a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly—making us feel right at home. You can tell they put care into every detail. If you’re looking for the best breakfast or brunch in Dublin, look no further than Jay Kay’s Cafe. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Late afternoon vegetarian Irish breakfast and a lovely coffee on a grey cool Autumn day combined with pleasant service and good value for money was a lovely treat for this jet legged visitor. Breakfast served all day is a favorite of mine.

Loved it. Food was lovely actually couldn't finish it the portions were so large. Coffee was great 3Fe and staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly reccomend

The food is OK. It is very fast service. If you are not used to European food pudding doesn’t mean pudding it mean sausage patties.

The place had plenty of space and a relaxed, casual vibe. The staff were friendly, the food came out quickly, and there was a great variety of options to choose from. I’d definitely recommend trying the turmeric shot and the overnight oats!
