Very popular café on Gorey's main street. Delicious food, reasonably priced. Great choice also in Stafford's breads, cakes and buns. High quality.

We ordered hot food, sandwich platters and a cake for an event recently from Joannes in Gorey and the whole experience was fantastic. From start to finish Pat was a pleasure to deal with. We even got the food delivered to the venue and all of our guests were raving about the food there wasn't a scrap left! We will absolutely be returning and recommending to all.

Quick and simple lunch: soup and brown bread for a reasonable price. The soup was hot and tasty, but the bread was dry and crumbly like gluten-free "bread".

Joanne’s has been a firm family favourite for years! Any time we’re in Gorey we have to pop in ! The place is very accessible for wheelchair users or mobility compromised people, spotlessly clean, done up to a great standard, staff are very helpful and friendly, the food is so fresh and tastes amazing! The cakes and bread are gorgeous too. Highly recommend for a spot of lunch or any fresh baked goods. Can’t fault it enough

Absolutely one of my favourite places to go for breakfast or lunch, staff are very nice and food is amazing. Thanks to all the staff. The new layout is nice too.

Toasted club sandwich. 3 slice sambo. Pre assembled! and toasted to order. The middle slice never saw the grill and as a result of having coleslaw in the sandwich before toasting it was a very strange offering. Soggy/wet and my first taste of hot coleslaw. Not pleasant. I did speak to 2 staff members and showed them the wet bread from the middle of the sandwich, I was told that is the way they serve it. Not for me!

We ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Expensive pancakes for what is served. A few pieces of very thin and boring bacon . Thin pancakes without anything special.

This restaurant has a variety of food options for breakfast and lunch for reasonable prices. Food portion was great and they were delicious. There’s a separate bakery area for bread/ buns and cakes. Bit crowded at certain times but there are ample space for seating. Clean. Fast and friendly service. Clean toilets available.

11/01/2025: Had a fantastic meal here this evening. We had the prawn tempura which was delicious, a really light batter and fab sweet chilli dip and pork gyoza with a soy chilli dip as starters. Then we had the stir fry sweet and sour chicken and a beef yellow curry with rice and noodles. The noodles were probably one of the best side dishes I've had. Light and fresh and more importantly not greasy. A lovely meal, an excellent bottle of wine and a nice atmosphere. Will be back for sure
06/10/2024: The Thai red curry was okay prawn crackers were lovely and so were the chips I found the curry lacked a bit but it was okay very spicey which I liked could have done with more vegetables in it like peppers but overall I'd give it 3 out of 5, the service was great lovely lady really welcoming I'd go again and try something else for sure nice experience 😀 didn't have good dessert menu, which was a pity I love my desserts lol
