Johnnie Fox's Pub delivers an authentic Irish experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, exactly what you'd hope for. I had the champagne duck – perfectly cooked with rich, deep flavor – and the mashed potatoes were creamy and comforting. Finished with the whiskey cake, which had a bold and unique taste I won’t forget. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine Irish food and charm.
Great place.
Marvellous singer enjoyed us later on in the evening with his songs of the Irish and past times.
The Guinness Beef stew was very good in taste although it was largely stuffed with pumpkin and less with pieces of beef. I ate a similar stew in another restaurant for less but with a richer filling.
The lamb shank missed some spices.
The waitress was very nice and attentive. Compliments for her good service
We had a lovely dinner here. Our waiters were Lukas and Kris and they were so lovely and welcoming. The lamb shank was divine and the fish was so fresh. Lovely atmosphere and live music. I can't wait to come back!
Very Irish pub. A must see if you have a car and are traveling from Dublin to Wicklow. I say visit because you can stop to see it, without having to stay to eat.
For my taste, very noisy and somewhat overwhelming since all the tables are together and there is usually a group playing live, at least on the weekends.
The service is good and fast. Mainly because they usually give you time to eat.
The food in my opinion is good, but a bit expensive compared to other places.
Dit is top animatie van Irish folk met daarna iers tapdansen met de hooly dansers voorafgegaan door een 3 gangen dinner de pub is de hoogst gelegen pub van Ierland is 40 min met de shuttle bus van Dublin centrum
We came here based on recommendations from others who have been before. We did enjoy our time here and the food was very good. My fish pie was actually gorgeous.
Only not a 5* due to the fact we were basically sat in a corridor with another table of 2 in it. Opposite the very busy staff office. So had constant traffic passing us. We had our pint and a half of Guinness food and weren’t given any option of more time, food or drinks the bill was just brought to the table. We paid and left. Not sure if they were expecting more people it was quite at the time we visited.
