Great food with swift service even at the busiest of times. Would definitely go back for a few drinks of an evening. Loads of memorabilia on the walls and a lovely roaring open fire. Would return again.
Such a great place. Lots of people so make a reservation if you can for food. For drinks you will manage to find a spot. The table next to the fireplace is the best spot on a cold day.
The two of us started with a pint of Guinness (delicious) and an old fashion (meh). We shared an order of wild Irish mussels, beef cheeks, BBQ ribs, and a bottle of Montipuciano.
The only things we'd order again is the Guinness and beef cheeks. Both were delicious! The mussels arrived within 5 minutes of placing our order and tasted pre-made. Ribs were tough and the sauce tasted odd, but the corn was tasty.
What made our night was the awesome performance by Ray Cox, he was terrific!!! Check the music calendar, schedule your meal around Ray's performance, and ask to be seated near music. Note, he takes a brief break after the first hour of his 2 hr set.
We were there for celebrating the birthday. Food was great, atmosphere was nice, but two things were disappointing. First, we specified that’s going birthday dinner but no greeting at all as usual in other places. Old fashioned cocktail was as just juice and whiskey, not great at all.Not sure we come back, this place for tourists only maybe who are not not going to return.
Wow what a fabulous place the staff are so welcoming the food is just delicious and the music and banter superb 👌 this is a must stop place well worth a visit. If you have a motorhome and fancy a drink they will even let you stopover in the overflow carpark win win.
