We made a quick stop at this cozy spot. I tried the bacon and cabbage, and my partner went for the steak. Bacon chips on the side. Portions were generous enough for the price, though the food was nothing special. Waited a while for everything to arrive. It was decent for a bite.
Warm welcome
Cheap beer
Small, quiet bar along the Connemara lakes road.
You can buy chips or peanuts at the grocery store next door to complete your aperitif.
We stopped by chance, since it was practically lunchtime in the middle of nowhere, and made an excellent discovery: a small, family-run bar and restaurant with excellent cuisine.
Excellent service, very kind and helpful staff, homemade-style dishes, tasty and plentiful, at a lower than average price. The soup was excellent, and the steak was definitely worth a stop.
We just wanted to make a quick stop but ended up being very satisfied. They make paninis and wraps for 13,5€ served with a side of fries and coleslaw. Honestly the quality / price was perfect, it was good and filled our appetites perfectly. There was orange slices in the tap water and tasted good ! The owner is very nice. The only thing I'd like to say is there was not enough garlic in the garlic chicken panini, but otherwise it was awesome ! We'll definitely come back ! Must stop if you're going to Connemara ! (The plates looked so good, I forgot to take pictures before eating.)
