Ordering was a little confusing but once you get it, it’s fine really. Food was great, very tasty. Very affordable for Dublin City centre, make sure you pile up on your plate since it’s one price - if you’re getting their lunch plate deal thingy, it’s a bit confusing. Whoever made my coffee did an excellent job with the espresso, great pull, full body and rich. The heart latte art is perfect for mixing with the espresso’s crema. Good coffee at this spot. Bathroom location is a little confusing, maybe more signs? It’s downstairs! Knocked down one star for the weird ordering and bathroom location, otherwise great service, spot and food.

Amazing food and there are many menu options, but I recommend going there for breakfast/brunch. Mind-blowing french toast. Not too cheap but definitely worth it - I had to go back there many times! Loved this place

Very disappointed with the small portion. I ordered a Dubliner sandwich and for this price I expected more than just a bun with a slice of ham and few lettuce leaves. For the same price or one or two more euro you can get a huge portion with fries included in many places around. I left hungry :/ Besides that, the place is nicely decorated (at least upstairs) and the buffet options look tasty.

My favorite place for a healthy lunch in the city. always a large selection of salads and hot dishes, for every taste. I strongly recommend trying their lasagne, it will not leave you indifferent. The establishment also serves very tasty coffee.

Just walked in here for a quick bite before the start of a long walk through Dublin. We both had the BLT sandwich and you get a nice sandwich, freshly prepared. Tasty and good for a fair price.

Great place for Breakfast. Great interior decor. Nice spacious place. I tried their Avacado and Poached Egg on Toast, and it had great flovoured cherry tomatoes, and this dish tasted very good. I have often ordered Breakfast Burrito for takeaway, and it's very juicy and flavourful. Their hot chocolate was very sweet for me, but sweetness is personal opinion.

Cafe du Journal

31/10/2024: They opened a tad early and we were some of their first customers this morning. The croissants were fresh out of the oven and delicious! I ordered a strong cappuccino and it was made to perfection. I also got the Oreo Brookie (choc chip cookie base, layered Oreo cookies over the top and a brownie over that - wild yum!). Very welcoming atmosphere! We also got to meet Sandra the pup - I’m guessing the owner’s friend’s pup.
20/10/2024: Very nice food and lovely waitresses. I go there often with my nieces

The Arlington Bar, Dublin

30/05/2024: Went to a Celtic night at the Boardwalk and had an amazing evening, especially thanks to the lovely bartender named Louise. She made incredible cocktails - and mocktails, while being very kind and helpful. Very nice place to try it you stay in Dublin for a couple of nights.
05/05/2024: We’ve been staying here on and off for about 20 years and I’m afraid on our last few stays, the experience hasn’t been as good as it used to be. It’s still an impressive, huge bar but it used to have fairy lights everywhere making it more magical. Some of the staff both at reception and in the bar seem a bit fed up but not all of them. The rooms haven’t changed at all so although comfortable, they really could do with being updated. Impressive reception hall but as you come in the main door there’s a couple of chairs and a very scabby table. Just seems tired and neglected. Our room overlooked a side alley which wasn’t pleasant but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also no fault of the hotel is that there’s quite a few hostels all round it. On a plus side, the breakfasts are still good with something to suit everyone and we were pleased with our fish and chips at dinner one night. Vending machines in the lobbies which is handy. Toilets always clean. No Celtic nights for the three nights we were there but had a good Irish music night. It’s still nice to come back to it at the end of the day for a few drinks rather than roaming about the city at night. We will be back but it’s sad to see changes and would be nice to see some money being spent on it.
