Me and my girlfriend from Newcastle, came into Kehoes pub yesterday on our last day great engagement from lads behind the bar with proper crack. We sat at the front of the bar and I had the best pint of Guinness & best pint of Beamish that I’ve had in Dublin, great hospitality they offered us toasties on the house, this is a proper Irish pub!

From day one, this was our number one pub in Dublin. We expected less but got so much more. The past decades greet you as soon as you step inside. The staff are very polite and friendly with everyone and can tell you a lot about this place. Raise your glasses! Sláinte!

Old school traditional Dublin pub, terrific pint and bartenders. Toasties only. Outdoors pints permitted weekends. Gets busy. Be prepared to stand. Horses on, betting shops nearby.

01/12/2025: The staff were very polite and helpful. The starter was quite good, and the beef dumpling was very tasty, although the bottom wasn’t crispy. The prawn toast and its sauce were excellent. The pork noodle soup was hot, delicious, and a large portion. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my own dish. The lotus roots weren’t for me,there was a strange perfume-like aroma coming from the food. I’d like to come back again to try the noodle soup or dumpling .
01/12/2025: Better value elsewhere. I ordered the Char siu pork and was surprised to see that rice was not included. For a €25 dish it’s disappointing having to pay another €4.50 just for a small bowl of rice. Any other restaurant I’ve been to has included rice as standard with a main dish like that. The portion size of pork was good, but my food was barely warm when I received it. Disappointed

20/02/2026: A must try if you're in the area.Food was amazing.I had the beef and guinness pie that was on special today and it was excellent,full of flavour helped on by a red wine gravy and mash potatoe.Also had their tomatoe and red pepper soup along side the main course which was delicious.We decided to have desert as the first 2 courses were excellent.Service was very good and staff lovely.A good varied menu to choose from and also a kids menu.My little lad had the chicken tenders and chips and loved it.I have heard that the roast dinner on the Sunday is die for so we will be back to try this.Can't wait for next visit.
19/02/2026: Went to The Old Spot with a friend and left overjoyed. From the moment we arrived every staff member was so kind and attentive. Even if the food wasn't up to standard the team they have would've brought us back regardless. Saying that - it was one of our favourite meals EVER had out! The portions are generous and the food was perfectly seasoned and balanced. I have a gluten allergy and also vegetarian and still had amazing options. Dessert was 10/10 too. Their signature cocktail menu was very impressive too - coming from a bartender. Back to the staff - they made our night, you can tell they genuinely take pride in their work. Can't wait to go back!
