Kehoe’s in Dublin

One of the best pubs in Dublin, great snug if you can get it. Great Guinness. Always packed.

My wife and I came to this pub because a friend of her's had a first date with her now husband back in the day. My wife told me history as we enjoyed a pint of Guinness. The pub was full and it was difficult to find a seat but we waited and in 10 minutes a couple sitting at the bar left and gave us their seats. The servers at the bar were very nice and quick with the orders. One server is from the USA and the other one from Spain. Very charming and talkative so we enjoyed a nice conversation with them. The older male server who appeared to have been working there forever was not as nice but was very efficient at serving. He was the one ushering people upstairs telling them that there was plenty of seats available. I didn't know they had upstairs seating until he started sending people up. We didn't order any food because we wanted something different to eat than pub food. But the menu looked decent. Overall all this pub is great for some pints. And when we met our married friends who had their first date at this pub we mentioned our visit. My wife's friend got a bit shy but told me the whole story of the date that is still going.

Rhuan was wonderful at the door. It was a busy night but he made me feel so safe heading into kehoes to meet up with friends.

Lively bar. Speedy and friendly service. Josh the bar man on the first floor an absolute legend. Give that man a raise! Great atmosphere!

Proper Dublin pub that has not and should not ever change

Went on a Sunday evening. Was pretty full but kind of quiet - without music. Was easy to chat.

Kehoe’s was on my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list and ended up being one of my absolute favorites, to the point where I had to buy a t-shirt. This place comes highly recommended by both online sources and Dublin bartenders for pouring one of the best pints of Guinness in the city, and they were not lying. It is a very nice authentic Irish pub that has been modernized over the years, but still holds tight to its old school roots. You can feel the history, and yet it still runs like a lively, current pub rather than a museum piece. I stopped in during the day for a quick pint and ended up having a great chat with the bartender, who also helped me fine tune my Pub Crawl list. The Guinness here was easily some of the best I had in Dublin, smooth, fresh and exactly what you want from a proper pour. I tried coming back another time but ended up missing last call, and the place was nothing like the calm daytime version I saw earlier. It was absolutely packed wall to wall. A completely different energy, but in the best way. Clearly a favorite for both locals and visitors. Overall, Kehoe’s is a must-stop. Great pint, great staff and a classic Dublin pub feel that earns every bit of its reputation.
