Kelly Lou Cakes in Portlaoise

A lovely - busy - spot. I had a sausage roll at a very reasonable €6.95 which was delicious. The white chocolate and fudge cookie that followed was nicer again!

Lovely cafe, the staff were so charming and helpful. Had a veggie option that was super delish "Nellys Cajun veggie sambo" would defo recommend this place.

We came in here to celebrate my sister's birthday on Monday, the girl that served us at the till seemed fine quite pleasant. We went and sat at the table which was filthy , most of the tables were. When we looked around to see if there were any staff three of them were standing behind the till chatting. 10 minutes passed and one lady brought down our drinks to which she seemed shocked that the table was still in a mess. No apology just tutting at the table like it was our fault. The girl that served us then brought over our soup and my son's french toast (which was kind of burnt) and then when we said we were still waiting on our cakes she replied with what cakes? We then had to tell her again. We always enjoy coming here but the service really is quite poor and it was not even that busy. The cakes are always quite nice and the soup was lovely.
