Food is overall decent, not too bad but nothing too special. I come here pretty often and I feel like a lot of the staff is kind of rude and just do not look amused when I ask for anything. I wish they were a bit warmer and friendly here. It’s not just one employee I’ve had this experience with but at least 3 of them.

Lovely café with delicious food, great coffee, and friendly, attentive staff. My only gripe is that they seem to heat the sausage rolls in a microwave, which leaves the pastry soggy and chewy. It would take nothing to throw it on the grill for a few minutes to come out perfectly flaky (but they're very filling and do taste great).

Delicious breakfast. I had the mushrooms and pulled pork on toast, topped off with beautifully cooked poached eggs and drizzled with homemade pesto. Very clever and imaginative dish. Well done to the chefs. Service was top class.

lovely restaurant and nice friendly staff. Had the most delicious scones served with jam. service was quick and friendly highly recommend . food looked v appetising good value

17/11/2024: I treated my Mum to an early " Christmas Treat' and we got a Beautiful, Spacious and Deluxe Room, with 3 Beds and a Lovely Couch and Seating area,, with Complementary Water and Home- Made Cookies. It also included Breakfast and a three Course Dinner. This was €182. Great Value and the Staff were so Friendly and Helpful. Food,Room and Breakfast were Fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay ❤️. Many Thanks and we'll definitely be back again.
13/11/2024: Really great stay - my fourth/fifth in the past 12 months! Sadly it was only one night, due to unforeseen change in travel plans. But was welcomed at the front desk and given a (very unexpected) upgrade to a corner suite (I think?). Huge newly-renovated room. The staff are friendly. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Really good value for money, and the location gives easy access to the city centre, Dun Laoghaire etc. Lots of parking space, and good WiFi!

Lord Mayor's Lounge

03/10/2024: Fuimos un viernes para los 5: 00 pm té alto. El servicio fue fantástico, con tazas de té siempre rellenas y una gran variedad para elegir. Los sándwiches, bollos, pasteles y dulces eran increíbles en sabor, frescura y diseños artísticos. Casi temíamos dañar algunos, pero lo hicimos y los sabores eran geniales. Solo concedí un 4 aunque como la habitación está abierta al vestíbulo principal y durante los primeros 15 minutos de nuestro té de 90 minutos, un grupo muy alborotado y ruidoso de huéspedes del hotel en el área del vestíbulo gritaban, animándose entre sí hasta el punto de que sonaba seriamente como un bar deportivo durante un partido de fútbol campeonato. La administración de un hotel fino como este debe someter educadamente tal comportamiento, no solo para aquellos en esta habitación, sino para todos los huéspedes.
24/07/2024: Maak zeker de high-tea eens mee maar ik raad aan om 's middags NIET te eten want zowel de hapjes (zout, zoet) als de thee zijn meer dan voldoende en worden ook aangevuld. Prachtige kunstwerkjes, zeer professionele bediening en zeer romantische setting.
