Popped in to Kenny's Bar for the first time while I was in Dublin this week not only was it the best pints of Guinness that I drank in Dublin they are by far the cheapest lady behind the counter It was very nice and the locals were friendly ..

Decent pub with good pints (Smithwick's) and a lively atmosphere. Pub was surprisingly busy for the middle of the week day that we ventured in, but still easy enough to get a good seat. Lounge opens later. Pizza's were advertised - but when I went to enquire about them - was told they weren't doing it that day - which was a little annoying as it felt very tantalizing after a good few pints, but anyway........... overall enjoyed myself in this good old fashioned boozer.

Snuck in to get away from the rain real quick and boy did we stumble on a gem. The Guinness was unmatched and was the cheapest I had while in Dublin for the week. Very inviting group of locals that come through there and the owner is a 10/10 lad. He took his time while cleaning to keep the banter with us and when we tried to tip him for the AMAZING service/experience he threw a couple baby Guinness shots our way. Anyone visiting Dublin needs to stop here.

McMahon's of Botanic Avenue

29/10/2024: Yesterday we decided to have a drink at McMahons, because the atmosphere seemed nice and the pastries on display looked great! Unfortunately while entering to order (4 warm drinks & 2 pastries- the snickers cake was great & the lattes too!), I witnessed the two ladies behind the counter have an unpleasant attitude towards my sister in law, who was asking for a cup of hot water so she could warm her newborns bottle. I’m unsure if their reluctance came because they didn’t think she was a paying guest, but the attitude didn’t change after I made clear I’d pay for our drinks (while holding said newborn). They charged for a cup of hot water, which we quite frankly found ridiculous since we spent over €20 on other things. If this falls under kid-friendliness, I’d say it faltered.
22/10/2024: If you happen to come here, try their terrace . It’s so nice and warm . Staff is polite and nice coffee 😇
