KFC in Athlone

Would have been given a 5 star rating for KFC Athlone. Unfortunately, it was the 25c deposit on the return seam that let the place down. I was charged the 25c on my drinks and guess what it's all old stock that's been sold . When I questioned this, I was told by the manager that "any bottle return would take it, and I would get my deposit back." The more I tried to explain, the bottle didn't have the R for the return and that you can't be charging deposit in the first place he kept showing me the barcode on the bottle. At that stage, I just lost all hope and asked for my money back for the deposit. Eventually, I got it back. The moral of the story is that KFC Athlone is charging 25c deposit on old stock and making a fortune from it .

Zingy burger was certainly zinging but my wife a good judge of chicken said it was very dry. Everything else extra fine 😁

I have only used the drive-thru but the girl serving needs to smile and say thank you she was proper miserable

Went here last week for my son's birthday. 8 of us total. They have those kiosk computer machines to order which I love doing as less pressure to "hurry up" as people maybe queuing behind. Staff were very friendly. Bathrooms and eating area all spotless clean.

The establishment, despite its widely acclaimed reputation within the fast-food chain industry, falls drastically short in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. The condition of the premises is deeply unsatisfactory, with the glass surfaces appearing unkempt and riddled with grime. Moreover, the hanging lights above the dining area are encased in layers of cobwebs that seem to have accumulated over an inordinate amount of time, evoking an almost prehistoric neglect. Perhaps most concerning, however, is the evident gilt or residue visibly dripping onto the dining tables, presenting an unsanitary and revolting sight. Such conditions are not only unbecoming of an establishment of this purported stature but raise serious concerns about the overall hygiene standards maintained.

Great service from the workers & delicious food! We accidentally drove past the serving window and they came out to check with us and brought our food out instead of making us drive through again. Would definitely recommend!

Went through drive thru! Excellent service. Food was fresh and tasty. I was in a hurry but got my food very fast. Well done KFC Athlone team ,much improved 👏

I was there on Sunday with my family and had such great service from Reino. He was polite helpful. What a dinamic young man👏🐔🦴

They have improved a lot, i like the kiokcs and the management looks very professional, my order was ready very fast and i received a great service of the employees

Friendly, efficient fast serving staff. Place was clean and tidy, even though it was busy, they did they the impossible to clear and clean tables. I'll be back.
