Kiersey's Bar & Tearoom in Kilmacthomas

Big price, small food. The food was very tasty, but I was still hungry afterwards. They even have these miniature chip baskets, which to be honest, look more like they're designed to limit your amount of chips instead of being an attractive feature. Chips aren't expensive. The garnish is just a few sprigs of lettuce with a few bits of pepper and onion. See my photos and you'll see what I mean. My burger WAS delicious to be fair (comes from the local butcher - high quality beef). We examined the menus of the other 2 cafes/restaurants beforehand and opted for Kiersey's. We've concluded that dining out in Kilmacthomas is an expensive affair. Everywhere seems to be these days, which the restaurants/cafes are not entirely at fault for.

Started out in Waterford and the plan was to cycle the Waterford- Dungarvan greenway. Get to Dungarvan and then after enjoying a snack head back to Kilmacthomas as I was booked into Kiersey's, bar/restaurant/b&b. All going well and with great weather cycling back towards Kilmacthomas until I got a puncture, which I repaired. Cycled on again and disaster strikes again, second puncture. So with no extra spare tube had to walk last few kms . However Kiersey's was the ideal haven after a long day and been fed and a few beers in great pub surroundings, enquired locally if there was a place in Kilmacthomas to get bike repaired. Unfortunately no bike repair location was found. Eddie the owner of Kiersey's heard of my predicament and offered to drive me into Waterford to get bike repaired next morning. So a big shout out to Eddie and his staff for such excellent customer service that was so considerate of them to help me get back cycling again. 5*star +plus . Sean Brett.

Attended there today for refreshments after a family funeral. Tea coffee sandwiches and hot food supplied. Everything was looked after very well. Thank you. Another visit today for coffee and scones. Lovely coffee and tea served with scones. Very pleasant staff Delighted we called and will call again.
