Nice grounds to walk around. It was not crowded mid-week in late May. They allow outside food to be brought in and we saw several young families having picnics. Easy access with public bus. You just need to walk a bit (10-15 min) to get to Kilruddery.

The guided tour is excellent! I have been touring around Ireland for several weeks now and this has still been the best tour of a grand house. It makes a difference that the family still lives here and the guide is a member of the household staff. The hidden garden is a must see and make sure to buy the wood fired pizza.

I was last at Kilruddery House & gardens before covid I think. They have done a lot with the place & on a sunny day it is a wonderful day out. Lots of new activities and dining places. Will definitely be back again.

Killruddery house & gardens is a beautiful place to visit. The kids had a ball playing in the grounds.. There is a nice play area sand pit. Fenced off chickens as well. Also a couple of places to get something eat or drink. Worth a visit.

Killruddery House and Gardens is a historic gem just outside Bray. Home to the Brabazon family since 1618, the estate features beautiful 17th-century Versailles-inspired formal gardens, a charming Tudor Revival house and a working organic farm. The inside of the house is well worth a visit too – it’s rich in history, beautifully preserved and the guided tour adds so much to the experience. Special shout-out to Raymond, the knowledgeable and engaging guide. Highly recommended!

Gus O'Connor's

16/07/2025: A typical pub with good food. We ordered salmon, and it was delicious. Great company.
14/07/2025: Walk in smiling, get a friendly greeting, and self serve. Grab some menus, grab a table of your liking, figure out what you want, note your table number, make your way up to the bar and order. Get your drinks from the bartender, pay and have a seat. Had delish creamy seafood loaded chowder, fish and chips with the freshest fish and light batter and warm, tasty Guiness beef stew. The Irish coffee hit the spot after a wet windy visit to the Cliffs of Moher and the Guiness pint went down well too. Definitely worth a stop when you're in Doolin
