The visit to the Gardens is worth it, while entering the castle premises is not so much, as it serves as a ceremonial

Went to the café to get my Wicklow passport stamped and got an oh we don't do that attitude (so bad I thought about not even getting a coffee). Then had to use real sugar as no sweetener, not good when you're a diabetic
Eventually found out the ticket office had them and she was lovely and even asked what colour (red or black)
Confusing layout for carpark etc, Very little signage
Definitely wouldn't come back and pay the over priced entrance fee
Avoid as so much nicer natural beauty for free beside it

A visit to repeat, beautiful gardens and very careful decoration of the restaurant. We were there about 6 years ago, and we have found it more cared for and improved. We will be back!

Five stars all the way. What a fantastic paid facility to have on one's doorstep.
It has literally everything for everyone in the family to enjoy.
One thing though, we entered on a five member membership and couldnt view the Orangery or House. Said this was only for tours. That's a bit disappointing.

One of the best day trip u can have outside Dublin. Fee for an entrance, saturday farmer's market with few food carts, and their own cafe inside the estate. Beautiful walk in basking sun of May. Picturesque views from many angles, and tje best part is they have free range chickens. Defo a great day trip for everyone, will come back for sure.

Have annual memberships.
Love the gardens and walks
Always disappointing that dogs aren't allowed yet on almost every visit there is a child walking on grass that they shouldn't be, footballs being kicked into shrubbery etc.
Hopefully some day, dogs on leads, which can be kept under more control than some children, will be allowed as our dog is a member of our family.
Fantastic reduction of one Euro for old age pensioners off the normal too high admission charge of 10.50. however well worth seeing at least once. If it was less expensive, I would visit frequently. But at that price, probably never again
