03/10/2025: After getting engaged in the magical city of Valletta, Malta, last September, we began searching for wedding venues in Brian’s hometown of Wexford for our late summer/early autumn 2025 wedding. Newbay House was the very first venue on our list, and after arranging a guided tour with Maria Power, the venue manager, we quickly realized we didn’t need to look any further. From the moment we stepped through the front door, we knew Newbay was something truly special — a magical venue with breathtaking gardens and an intimate charm. It offers the feeling of an exclusive country house, yet is only minutes from Wexford Town.
Maria, Rachel, and the entire Newbay team were outstanding. Their attention to detail and genuine care were second to none. They guided us every step of the way — after all, Maria and her team are experts in weddings, while we were complete novices! Thanks to them, we felt fully supported and stress-free throughout the process.
When our big day arrived, we were blessed with beautiful weather and able to hold our ceremony outside in the stunning landscaped gardens. Everything ran with military precision — from the drinks reception to the wedding breakfast, the music, and the disco — and our guests enjoyed every moment. The food was a particular highlight; everyone raved about its exceptional quality throughout the day.
What makes Newbay even more special is the accommodation. We were able to host our closest family and friends overnight at the venue itself, while other guests stayed at Newbay’s sister property, the Talbot Hotel in Wexford Town. The complimentary shuttle bus provided at the end of the night was a brilliant touch that everyone appreciated.
We firmly believe that “people don’t do business with businesses — they do business with people.” Maria, Rachel, and the entire Newbay team embody this belief. They were exemplary in every way, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
We have the most magical memories from our special day at Newbay House — memories we will cherish forever.
