I'd been to the 'free' part of Kilruddery before, but on my latest visit I went into the more formal gardens & did the house tour. The tour was really interesting - the house is beautiful. Lovely cafe adjacent to it as well.

Stunning house and gardens open in the summer. With amazing woodland walks original buildings on one side and more of a farm feel on the other with an orchard and farm animals. And poly tunnels in the background producing the most amazing produce which they sell in their farm shop which is probably my favourite part. A beautiful farm shop setting an old stable part of the grounds with lovely crafts and lots of other stuff but my favourite veg and meat raised on the property. This place in my opinion is a no-brainer to visit if you're in the area.

This place is absolutely stunning. Gardens were beautiful and seeing the scenery was just so memorable, felt like I was really at Alfea! They should really do a little cameo of such! I did want to take a picture of the house gates but sadly they told me it’s not possible.

Such a fun day out visiting and exploring the beautiful gardens at Kilruddery. Had a bite of lunch in the tearooms, the food is very fresh and tasty. All in all, it's a lovely and sweet day out.

Beautiful Period House and Gardens to visit for a pleasant day out.. We started off with food coz we were hungry.. They have lots of options.. We went for a pizza at their pizza place.. Really good and equally tasty salad... Grabbed a coffee at the coffee shop and headed off to investigate... Went to the gardens and walked around for an hour.. Very beautiful and whimsical.. They have a picnic area and kids playground as well, so fun for all... Highly recommend way to spend an afternoon...

28/12/2025: Amazing flavours from fairly simple food. We found here by chance one day after leaving the Newpark in Kilkenny, there was nothing suitable for my vegetarian wife on the newpark lunch menu. We have been back now 4 times despite living a couple of hours away. It's a real find. I love their vegetarian bruschetta (despite being a meat eater) the amount of flavour they get out of just goats cheese and pesto is amazing. I had their fish and chips on another visit, similarly top notch. My wife has had their vegan bruschetta (falafel and hummus) and mushrooms in cream sauce at another visit. They cater for our kids too. Myself and my wife both adore the lemon curd Eton mess.
06/12/2025: Full irish breakfast, was with wife and daughter we all enjoyed the food, large table in corner, staff very friendly and polite!

01/02/2026: Had gorgeous fish and chips tonight, with 6 of us eating. Glad I made reservation as the place was really busy. Staff and service was second to none, with great beers too. Thank you
01/02/2026: Top class service , when we arrived lady said kitchen had just closed, she went very quickly to kitchen to see could we order & came back promptly & took our order , such friendly staff & food fabulous .
