King House Tea Room in Boyle

Got a takeaway wrap/chips and coffee. Food was very nice and coffee was lovely, friendly staff and the place has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Cute cafe with floral patterns and ducks in welly boots. Adorable. Nice breakfast menu. Pancakes were good, two massive pancakes. Somewhere between a crepe and an American style pancake. Full Irish was good. Kids menu had sausage and chips for breakfast? Weird one but my kid was delighted. Hot chocolate wasnt great. Very few cafes make them well. All the chocolate sinks to the bottom and it is far to strong, so that needs work but otherwise good.

I was really looking forward to returning here, I enjoyed my lunch when I visited last summer but unfortunately this time I was very disappointed. I ordered the goat’s cheese tartlet with potato wedges and both were burnt, I could barely eat the wedges as they were overcooked and hard.

Definitely the best Irish breakfast which I had in my lifetime. Been there 20 years ago, came back and tastes still so good! I love this place and would go there anytime if I could! You should go!

We had lunch here on Tuesday last. I had the mushroom soup and homemade brown bread, both were absolutely delicious. My husband had a BLT which was very generous in size served with a side salad and was also delicious! We had coffee and amazing homemade apple pie afterwards...scrumptious! Staff were really friendly and helpful we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back again. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely breakfast options, I had poached eggs and bacon with soda bread, and eggs were done perfectly. My children had the monkey business pancakes, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Very busy on a Saturday, so staff were under a bit of pressure but they got everyone served quickly. Will be back

We stopped there on a rainy and chilly day. Got our coffees and lovely pieces of carrot cake! They do know how to make a cake! It was moist, delicious and super sweeeeeeet ❤️ Place was busy (around noon time), but the tables were available, service was fast! Prices reasonable and coffee good. Nice place to eat if you’re visiting Boyle Abbey as it’s super close!
